Maybe I should have said it differently....will these ever come back/be on broadway. Thanks for the correction DAME, although I knew that, so not to worry...I am not ill-knowledged
. I apologize for not completely expressing my thought on the topic of this thread.

Posted: 4/30/04 at 7:31pmA Chorus Line needs to come back it is "one singular sensation" and i'm serious about it. I was in a production last year at my high school, the show was cleaned up but, i really would like to see this in production again i know it closed in 1990. i dont think anything changed content wise from when it opened til it closed. even thought its set in 1975 the message it sends across is good for any generation to see. the pride of the broadway. I would go see it. It has been 14 years since it closed give it at least 10 years and hopefully it will be back on Broadway.

Posted: 4/30/04 at 7:51pmTo me, Chorus Line was overrated. Score was average but the chorography was great. Chicago was, in my opinion, superior & should have won the Tony

I think Les Miserables needs to be revived. I think that Les Miz, Phantom of the Opera, and Cats should always be on Broadway at any given time, for they have been staples of musical theater for years, at least for me. To me, no musical theater music collection is complete without those 3.
Also, what about...
Chess
Funny Girl
Ruthless!
Scarlet Pimpernel
Jekyll and Hyde
Plum

I have to disagree there. A show shouldn't stay just because it's been around for a long time, and it shouldn't come back just because it had a 10-year run the first time around. Cats was my first Broadway show, and I loved Les Miserables, but I don't have a problem with the fact that they're gone. Things change. Bring on the new shows!
