I have many soundtracks of musicals on my iPod which I play in my car, but I tend to listen to Hairspray the most right now followed by The Producers. Others include Chicago, The Music Man and Les Miz (recently saw one of the last performances).

Oooh - question for you with the iPod. Do you use the car kit that has the FM Radio tuner in there? I got one last week, along with the car kit, and was horrified by the quality of the FM signal. Was going to try one of the cassette player adapters but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I agree with you totally about the Fosse, Verdon, Reinking thing. I've always felt that Gwen was reincarnated as Annie long before she ever left us. Don't mean to anger any Verdon purists, but it's the two voices. I can't tell them apart. It's like they became one voice. Incredible!

Right now....I'm listening to the Showtunes station on Netscape radio "Journey On" from Ragtime is playing...brilliant show. Lately in my CD player I've been playing Thoroughly Modern Millie, Movin' Out, and Hairspray.

I agree that in some odd cosmic anomaly, Gwen Verdon was reincarnated years before her death. The whole thing is very strange and, in a way, very romantic. Fosse fell in love with a woman who spoke, looked, danced like and basically had the same personality as his wife Gwen. She was just a younger version. The romantic part is that Gwen remained his one true love and soul mate to the point that it was her arms in which he died.

The other oddity in all of this is that the two women remained friends until the day that Gwen died. They even co-produced "Fosse", a tribute to a man they both loved and shared.

I'm currently listening to the OBC recording of "Mack and Mabel." I also have "Experience the Divine", "Gypsy" (Bette's version), and B52's "Cosmic Thing" in front of me, so I'll be swiching in a little while.

I walk with my CD player and since I love music I have many CDS from Broadway shows. Today, it was Man of LaMancha but I alternate constantly. Usually, LeMiz, Evita, Millie, Movin On, Chicago etc. etc.
