i'm also very interested of any new shows from him.
he seems to just shoot them out one after the other, and yet they're really good material!

I read somewhere that there is a production of See What I Wanna See in Boston and that he is going to be doing a post-show discussion after an upcoming performance.
Hes sent me a PM before. Maybe he'll post and let us know what hes up to. I know he checks these boards!
i'm gonna give a slightly immature answer and say he's busy being AMAZING!!!
I <3 that man and his brilliant BRILLIANT work! and we all know whatever he comes up with next will be well worth the wait.
I swear there was something he was working on, like perhaps a commissioned opera, although I couldn't find anything through Google so I might have made that up one night.

bwaysinger - are you referring to Lincoln Center? They commissioned LaChiusa, Tesori, and Guettel each to write an opera in '09, I think?

Wikipedia mentions: Send (who are you? i love you) (2006)
Idunno if 2006 means it DID get a production sometime last year or hasn't yet though...

That was Audra's piece for Houston Grand Opera. That happened almost a year ago and they broadcasted it on the radio in Novemeber. It was lovely.
"Send (etc.)" sounds like an Internet Musical - which could be a great idea. Two songs from it were included in Hotel C'est L'Amour.

It indeed was a one-woman piece based around an internet love affair.
He recently had, though I can't remember the title, a musical in California, I believe, performed that had quite a bit of past material as well as some new stuff. I think? I remember seeing an article on it a while back.
A truly brilliant man!

Hotel C'est L'Amour was the name of his LA Revue.
He did receive a grant to write a musical for Signature Theatre. http://www.sig-online.org/press_releases/shen_event.pdf
