I know about 99.9% of this message board will not agree with me, but I personally loved Frankenstein. I've been telling everyone I can to see it because it really was such a wonderful production.

Go see Peter and Jerry, Ohio State Murders or Die Mommie Die, all are wonderful! And some of the greatest pieces I've seen in a while.

Yeah, I've been looking into some Off-Broadway shows lately too since I'll probably miss the show that was supposed to be my Christmas present. Anyway. What would you suggest- Speech and Debate or Forbidden Broadway?

Gone Missing is sublime. too short to be fully satisfying, but sublime.

Haven't gotten to Richard III yet, but cumpsty's always great ... and this season certainly threatens to become "the winter of our discontent" -- mebbe CSC can add some "glorious summer"!!!

i saw the upcoming adaptation of "crime and punishment" when it prememiered in chicagoland a few years back ... i was surprised at how much i enjoyed it. it'll be @ 59E59.

trumpery, opening next week at atlantic stage, is sure to be a winner.

jchase: did you mean *this* production of "bent" got great reviews, or that the play itself has gotten great reviews?

OHIO STATE MURDERS - A compelling, very human horror story, with a tour de force performance by LisaGay Hamilton.

THE GLORIOUS ONES - A colorful, beautifully performed new musical about life as a performer. This is the first musical I've seen since THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE that completely displays every ounce of Marc Kudisch's comedic, dramatic, and vocal talents. A really gorgeous show.

SPEECH & DEBATE - If you can get a ticket, this one is a must-see. Apparently a few seats have been opening up a couple hours before each performance.

Unless the sight of Hunter Foster makes you pee yourself, definitely skip FRANKENSTEIN.

Or you could truck on over to the T. Schreiber Studio and check out my good buddies critically acclaimed production of SISTER CITIES.
