What Show to see on NY trip?

My wife and I will be in NYC in mid April. Already have tickets for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Spamalot, Little Women, Wicked, and Light in the Piazza. We still have Friday night open and Sat Mat. open. We are trying to decide among these three shows for the final two spots:
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Dessa Rose
or a possible B'Way transfer of Spelling Bee
Help!!!

If SPELLING BE transfers, which is looking more like a possibility every day. If not, I'd go with DESSA ROSE. I'm seeing it in three weeks. Plus, by mid-April, you will be able to choose from DOUBT, THE PILLOWMAN, A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, THE GLASS MENAGERIE, WHO'S AFRAID OF VIGINIA WOOLF, AFTER THE NIGHT AND THE MUSIC, GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS and ON GOLDEN POND. There's no shortage.

Corine~ My best friend received a letter (snail mail!) back from Stephanie today. She wrote a page front and back, just thanking her for being a fan and to never give up on her dreams. It made us cry cuz she's such a sweetheart! AHH I love her, and I know you do too, so I thought you'd enjoy hearing that!

I would say:

Hairspray
Streetcar
Virginia Wolf
Glass Menagerie

It sounds like you have a pretty full trip, and you're seeing some great shows - enjoy!

Screw those three. Go see Avenue Q. You won't get a flying car, but you'll get the best show.

Although, Chitty does have ol' Kudisch.... truly a tough call. Have fun!
Word. Word, indeed.

If you haven't seen Q, I suggest that as well. However, if you only make it to the city once every great while, I would say check out one of the amazing limited run revivals - or two.

I do not know your age or family status. But, if this is a weekend away from your kids- take Friday night off and spend time alone with your spouse.

I would like to say that I just bought my tickets to On Golden Pond for March 24.

I am going to be two rows away from James Earl Jones!
Maybe a big gob of his sweat will land on me, a la Broadway: The Golden Age.

James Earl Jones! Ahh what a talent. Is it wrong that one of my favorite performances of his was on "will and grace" ? haha

Of the ones you named, I would definitely choose DESSA ROSE. What a cast and creative team! This is A-list, without a doubt. I'm rooting for it to move to a Broadway house after its run at the LCT.

Would much rather have Raul, Norbert or Gavin's sweat on me. I'll pass on JEJ.
