Seriously?? Shouldn't she have done this, like, 35 years ago??
The more Amanda, the better.
I have nothing against her - but she's older than I am - and if I recall correctly, Joan died at 16...
Plummer, to me, is one of those actors who could pull off youth. I honestly have never read THE LARK, but I have read SAINT JOAN and, believe me, that part canNOT be played by an actor under 30. For proof: check out the film of SAINT JOAN with Jean Seberg, who was eighteen at the time.

Stratford always casts old, but it always works.
Amanda Plummer is perfect casting for this. She looks unhinged all the time. I love her.
Hah...totally off-topic, but I bumped into ex-Stratforder Michael Theriouer (TOTALLY spelt wrong) on the streets of Tronto last week and he was so nice. He thought it was cool that we both played Motel similarly (not that I hhad seen him, but audience members came up to me afterwards and said so). Anyways...yeah

To play Joan of Arc well, there has to be some maturity. So an older performer is the way to go. Rath I think you are in the right ball park (maybe 17-18 years old) (I'll check!)
Edit According to the Saints page she was born in 1412 and died 1431, so se would have been 19
