What are some of the best soprano songs in your opinion? I am looking to expand my repetoire. I would prefer serious songs rather than comic pieces. My range (give or take) A below middle C to F (or higher tho nothing is written up there) above high C.
I am not a beginner by any means so level of difficulty is not an issue.
Thanks.

There's a board for audition songs IIRC but..
I don't know if any of these are suitable audition songs; they may be too hard to play or overdone, but here is some MT soprano rep I love:
"Green Finch and Linnet Bird" from Sweeney Todd, of course
"Ice Cream" from She Loves Me (though I'm told it's overdone)
"Is It Too Late?" from My Life With Albertine
"Unexpected Song" from Song and Dance
"Baubles, Bangles, and Beads" from Kismet
"It's a Grand Night for Singing" from State Fair
"It Might as Well Be Spring" from State Fair
Pretty much any female solo from The Light in the Piazza
"The Finer Things" from Jane Eyre - good for a coloratura
Glitter and Be Gay
Green Finch and Linnet Bird
The Beauty Is

Keep 'em coming. I have done some of these. These are not for audtions just for building my repetoire. I mostly sing opera.
Hhave you tried Phantom of the Opera?
"Think of Me"
"Wishing you were Somehow Here Again"
"Angel of Music
Also "Glitter and be Gay" is a great suggestion!

Overdone, but If I Loved You is a great soprano song.
Marian's songs from "Music Man"
Laurie's songs from "Oklahoma!"
Julie's and Carrie's songs from "Carousel"
Tuptim's songs from "King and I"
Eliza's songs from "My Fair Lady"

ahhh i love girl in 14G. that's a really awesome, diverse song, because it shows all styles (classical, broadway, jazz).
i swear by the singers musical anthology volume 1. i swear by all the volumes, but the first one really has a lot of gems.
-a little bit in love-wonderful town-
-the beauty is-piazza-
-fable-piazza-
-think of me-phantom
-i believe my heart-wiw
-unusual way-nine
if you can REALLY sing, check Sarah Brightman's Harem, she sings very high in it. Great songs.
Wow, this has been helpful for me too. Thanks, guys!
All of Magnolia's songs from Show Boat
Initials from Hair [at least, Laura Benanti's version]
"Will He Like Me" from She Loves Me.
"Soon" -A Little Night Music
~ "On the Steps of the Palace" -- Into the Woods
~ "Dreaming, Wide Awake" -- a Jason Robert Brown song, not from a show, that you can find in his anthology
~ "A Call from the Vatican" -- I know you said no comic songs, but it's more sassy and sexy
~ "And This is My Beloved" -- Kismet
~ "One More Kiss" -- Follies

"I Loved You Once In Silence" from Camelot
"You Are Love" from Show Boat
"Will He Like Me" from She Loves Me
"I'll Forget You" from one of the many versions of The Scarlet Pimpernel
"How Could I Ever Know" from The Secret Garden
"Once Upon a Dream' from Jekyll and Hyde
hope you can use some of these!
Cheers,
Christopher
Basically any solo by Amalia in She Loves Me. "Dear Friend" is kind of bittersweet. It's beautiful and I love it to death.
Good luck on your repetoire!
Its highest notes aren't really where your highest notes are, but..."You're Daddy's Son" from RAGTIME is one of the greatest songs of all time.
"I'll Know" from GUYS & DOLLS allows you to be a bit more classical and just pretty.
Most gorgeous soprano song ever, in my opinion, is "Something Wonderful"
