What aspect of theatre would you like to learn more about? Performers, would you like to learn more about lighting? Lighting designers, would you like to learn more about marketing?
Please give a brief explaination on why.

It's all about the lighting.

And why is that, Phantom?
Explain WHY.
Directing, actually. I've performed and I've doen stage crew but I've neevr seen what goes into directing a show.

Oh, everything. But I guess the areas I'm most ignorant of are the technical aspects of lighting and sound.

I'm terrified of public speaking, so acting is out for me. But I'm always interested in learning what goes on behind the performance, to get the role to where it is.
Instead, I do running crew and set crew - I love the behind the scenes "building and creating" aspect. But I'm curious as to the actual acting. I so wish I had enough courage/talent to act...

Cause it makes my butt look good!
Stage management. It seems to be involved in all aspects - particularly the creative side. By that I mean the physical aspects of the stage - construction, sets, lighting, sound, EVERYTHING. Kind of a theatrical 'jack of all trades'. I think it would be a fascinating (and FRUSTRATING) career choice.

I am going to have to agree with you, Mamie.
My choice would be: Stage Management
Specialty: Lighting Design...making chorus boys' butts look good!
I love the world of performing and I feel this is the closest I would ever get to it. I would still be involved with the technical aspects of theatre, but interact with the actors more. I feel I have more similar interests with them.
I can do sound, lighting, and I've acted and been on running crew, but I spend most of my time with construction. I guess I'd like to learn more about sound out of all of those, since everything I've mentioned so far has been in my high school (I'm going to be lighting director for Chorus Line in the spring, and I'm excited) but our sound is a disaster. Our 3,000 person pool has failed to produce anyone who can manage a sound board, even though it is a math and science school.
EDIT: And costumes. I've done that, and in my summer volunteer job in a scene shop no one will trust me with a hammer because I'm a good seven or eight years younger than them, so I'm stuck painting set pieces. Plus I do art crew now and then at school. TECHIE POWER!!!

Certainly everything. Maybe the whole process, I only have a broad understanding. Costume design, making the music, lighting, everything!!! I need to be FED!
I'd like to explore publicity/marketing/press in addition to administration/office part of it. Why? Because I'm interested in it. :-P
But I am a performer first.

Honestly, I'd love to watch/work with casting directors, just to see what they go through on casting a show. I'm sure it's insanely difficult trying to see who fits where and all.
Set design. To me, it's just as creative as the performances themselves.
Damn Capn!
That was going to be MY answer!
It still is....Publicity and Marketing. I am always amazed at how shows are marketed to the public. I'd like to find out more about how a production team chooses a company to work with, designs the posters, develops the programs, runs a publicity campaign, and then pulls it all together in time for rehearsals!
I think it'd be fun to be a casting director.

I think the publicity end of the deal is cool. I'd like to investigate that a little further..
Well, first, I'd like to get the performer aspect down. Then, I'd like to be a pit orchestra member/conductor.
Directing. Which I'm going to do...We do student directed One Acts inteh spring at my high school. I'm going to direct one this year. I'm also thinking about student directing the musical. I won't have a big part, though I know everyone HATES the student directors of the musical...I don't care. They can just deal with it...
Now WHY...Umm. It's kind of hard to put into words. I really like to give people notes when we do monologues in theater class. I see things that can be fixed or changed in some way. A lot of times I sit there during theater class or the musical or the fall show and I mentally makes notes on how to improve things. I also really like to lead. I'm the chairman of the publicity crew. I like to take charge.

I am an actor and I am actually going to try and pursue Scenic design. Everytime I do a show, I always think in my head what the set should be like. I am actually Stage Managing and Set designing for "The Importance of Being Earnest" which actually opens this Wed.
Anything Theater, I want to learn about.
Writing plays.

Oh Yes.. I also "write plays" well actually, i start them and they just stay there...
I would have to say Lighting, cause that can certainly have an odd look if things show up at the wrong time, So I guess Electrics/tech!. Especially in this day and age of electronic boards!.

Writing. Its one of my dream to write a musical. I really want to know first hand what it takes to write your own show. I've done some direction of middle school performances (im a HS junior) but in college i plan on majoring in screen/playwriting.
