What day of the week is better to get tickets

I'm finalizing my plans for NYC stint, and just wanted to know if any days are considered as a better bet to get desired seating for shows (not as busy...)?

Any weekday, mainly Monday, Tuesday and Thursday

BrodyFosse...Hee, hee... ...just that most shows are dark then, right? I actually want to come on a weekend, but a better seating situation opportunity is more important to me, at this point.
Let's see what the majority consensus is ;D

You'll be able to get good seats during the weekend if you buy them in advance. You only have to worry about the 'day of the week' if you're planning day-of tickets.

Mon-Thurs are the best days, getting worse as the week goes on.
