I heard them talking about it on the search for elle woods, but I didn't see the show and I was wondering what it meant

Forgetting a line or skipping a line.

"You just can't win. Ever. Look at the bright side, at least you are not stuck in First Wives Club: The Musical. That would really suck. " --Sueleen Gay

Dropping is another word for forgetting. They had Nikki forget her line, to see how the girls would recover in character.

Broadway Shows I've Seen: Hairspray, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors (2003), The Wedding Singer, Spamalot, Riverdance, Rent, Beauty and the Beast, Spring Awakening, Wicked, Legally Blonde, Phantom of the Opera, Sweet Charity (revival), Drowsy Chaperone, The Lion King, Dreamgirls(2010 Tour).

I think it that setting it probably meant "to take LSD."

"Hey Nikki, we've got 20 minutes before curtain, want to go drop a line with me? "Whipped into shape" is REALLY fun when you're tripping!"

My favorite is Autumn!

"In theater, the process of it is the experience. Everyone goes through the process, and everyone has the experience together. It doesn't last - only in people's memories and in their hearts. That's the beauty and sadness of it. But that's life - beauty and the sadness. And that is why theater is life." Sherie Rene Scott
