What ever happened to...?

I was listening to the Varese Sarabande recording of Broadway Christmas, when it dawned on me: What ever happened to Lynne Wintersteller (Closer than Ever, Grand Night For Singing)? It made me ponder the brevity of even minor Broadway stardom. Look at those VS recordings and see who's still around on Broadway in an active way. Sally Mayes showed up in the short lived Urban Cowboy. where's Jodi Benson? Where's Paige O'Hara? Where's Glory Crampton? The ever-popular Liz Callaway seems to have emerged unaffected since the 90's. Judy Kaye is a stalwart as well. Any news or thoughts?

Where is Kim Crosby? She gave such an amazing performance in Into the Woods, you would have thought she'd be one of Broadway's biggest stars.

She was scheduled to do some Bway concerts in Tampa this fall but they were cancelled. Last thing I remember reading was her as Eliza opposite her husband (Paul Westenberg) as Higgins in some regional theatre.

I heard thaty Jodi Benson and her husband are "born again" and now only do Christian-themed music and theatre.

That is so sad. It's like all those old school R&B stars who can only get work in such shows as "Why do Good Girls date Bad Men", or "The Devil Made Me Do It, Lord Have Mercy!" Thanks Stephanie Mills. Loved you in The Wiz, though.

Lynne Wintersteller was in "Night of the Hunter" at the Willows Theatre in Concord, CA. She was excellent.

If "nudly" ever comes back, he can tell you more, I'm sure.

Kim Crosby's husband is Robert Westenberg, not Paul.

I've seen Annie and Babes in Arms there and both were pretty good but...well...Night of the Hunter was not the best thing ever. (Not to mention their wretched Les Miz School Edition a couple years ago.)

Kim Crosby does lots of studio cast recordings. I think she's done a lot for Jay Records. I'm pretty sure she's kind of a big name in London.
