COVID basically halted it. Per Paul McCartney, he had already written over 20 songs for the show which he gave to the people involved in the show. One of them was the opening song and he said he was surprised how positive a reaction he got for that song since he has never written for a West End/Broadway show. Once the world got back to normal again, there was never any update about the show resuming. I had even checked his fan web site to find out any information and there has been none. To the best of my knowledge, Mr. McCartney has not spoken publicly about the show in three years.

He was talked into the project by Bill Kenwright, the don of cheap-as-chips touring in the UK, who had been his classmate at the Liverpool Institute when they were kids. BK has never been great at keeping too many plates spinning; he's got four productions running right now -- Heathers in London and on tour, Blood Brothers on the road (again), Ian McKellen in Frank and Percy, a musical of Calendar Girls, and Twelve Angry Men (which you wouldn't think would sell in the UK, but who knows, it seems to have "names" that would at least sell tickets in the provinces).
I think the show is neither Bill's nor Paul's biggest priority right now.
12 angry men the musical? Imma pass.
Nah, it's the straight play version.

Unrelated, but that exists.
