I once had it take like 2 weeks. It was a show several months away so it didn't even dawn on me that I hadnt gotten them until they showed up in my email and I thought "didn't I buy those like 2 weeks ago?".
That was a show that hadn't yet begun previews so that may have affected things.

If it's a high-demand show like DEH or somesuch, there is a delay to make sure people are staying within ticket limits, in which case it can take 3-4 days. Some random show that you can easily get a ticket to is pretty quick, though.
I actually never receive the emails, not for maybe two years now. And I always call about a week before the show to say, hey, I never got my confirmation email. The person always says 'it doesn't matter if you have your confirmation #!' and I always say 'ok but I'd feel better if I received an email' and then that day I'll get a weird html looking one with pretty barebones info, not like the emails I used to get years ago, as if the person I was talking to just like wrote something up quick themselves to get me to stop calling. It's really annoying! I feel better with an email, what can I say. And no they've never been able to answer why I don't get the first email.
I recently, waited 3 weeks after I ordered. Called then and was told "The tickets were never sent, you should have them shortly" After waiting 40 minutes on hold. When I asked why they were never emailed the response was "I don't know".
They honestly don't seem to care about their customers anymore, which is a real shame because the service was at least decent years ago. It's a shame that they still get away with charging those crazy fees when the service is absolute ****.
Depending on the show sometimes it's supposed to be instant other times they have delays which could range from "3 to 5 days", although I've seen it take much longer.
I've always had good experiences with Telecharge's customer service department. Like others have said, it depends on the show. Supposedly, the ones that are delayed have something to do with fraud protection. In any event, you can always call 212 239-6210, and someone there should be able to answer your questions.
I'm surprised. I've spoken with telecharge several time and had great experiences. Three times I forgot my tickets and they had them reprinted at will call. Took 5 minutes. Now I always have them held at will call because clearly I have a problem...
