Smaxie, is it a revival or a new show?

A new musical called Something Rotten with Christian Borle and Beth Leavel. Same producers as The Last Ship. They must sense that Sting will be playing his final performance and that show will set sail without Tony nominations on board. Christian Borle and Matt Morrison will go head to head for a Tony win.

Sounds like we have our surprise winner for the year! Casey Nicholaw and Co. sounds like a winning team.
"Can we at least wait until the corpse is cold? This is a bit ghoulish sort of like a vulture circling its prey on the ground waiting for it to die."
Says the Mister who posts TDF offers, speculates this and that, and gives ill, unwanted advice to shows.
Without TDF it closes sooner. Is it not better for the show and the actors to play to full houses than half empty ones?If producers did not want to use TDF, they would not sell tickets on it. No one twisted their arm.
The rest of your post is so stupid it defies logic. By your statement, half or more of this board is guilty according to you.A board like this is generally for people to voice their opinion. I was not aware we had to get your approval before posting.

Smaxie, is it bigger than a breadbox?
Guys, you're forgetting that it's been officially announced that Riggan Thompson's new play "What We Talk About When We Talk About Love" is going into the St. James....at least I THINK I saw that somewhere....
"Christian Borle and Matt Morrison will go head to head for a Tony win" Lol yea right. They're not even really in the race compared to the performance that Michael Cerveris is about to give.

Is Something's Rotten no longer going to Seattle?

Sorry, should have included this link, which says its in Seattle in April.

What about "Gigi?"
Gigi most likely won't be coming in until next seaon.
They were talking about Gigi going into the Rodgers. I think it would be odd though if Something Rotten ends up just skipping their run at the 5th Ave theatre. Putting up a production before broadway is so beneficial.
Well i guess it is going in lol
Something Rotten
To save time, how about we think about when the show going into the St James (after Sideshow closes)closes & what will go in than. When that is resolved, we start the process all over again.
You're so clever Roxy!
Now go play your Frank Wildhorn cds and take a Geritol.

There is no way anyone but Cerveris is going to win the Tony this year.

"the performance Michael Cerveris is about to give"
You think he's going to be in the lead category (along with Borle et al, if that show does open)? Seems unlikely.

I wonder if the play someone mentioned will go in as a limited run before "Something Rotten". (It appears that they are still planning the 5th Avenue run-which is smart, IMO. Doing a reading/workshop is one thing, but I seem to notice the most critically successful shows do an out of town run (sometimes more as necessary).)
Fun Home is all about Alison and her dad, the role Michael Cerveris plays. Im pretty sure its a leading role.

LOL LMAO LOL!!

Falling, that was a joke. Something Rotten isn't doing the out of town anymore. You'll see.

Good. I think it sounds good (although I'm typically a proponent of out of town tryouts). This has the makings of a sweeper! (And how nice Wolf Hall will be running, too!)
I think Something Rotten sounds hilarious, I am looking forward to it.
