If Broadway/Theatre was a self-contained entity, then I would 100% agree with Musto. But Broadway/Theatre is a dependent on the society it exists in. The issue is so much bigger than un-creative and play-it-safe producers.

I think it's more a fear of spending $150. With prices so high, people don't want to take risks. That's what used to be so great about off-Broadway. You would see a great show but not pay through the nose.
