My dream role is the the emcee in Cabaret. The role in my opinion has such depth to it and seems like a role that you can have fun with but at the same time play it with a very creepy and eerie vibe, what's your dream role? Just curious :)
This always comes as a surprise to people since it's an ensemble role, but my dream roll is the Gordon/The Man/Mr. Grey track in Rent.
It will no doubt sound silly, but I've always wanted to play Elwood P. Dowd. Love the play. Love the part. Will probably never happen.
@PatronusYou know I often ponder on the fact that I had more fun being one of the nicest kids in Hairspray than i did playing prince Eric in the Little Mermaid.Strange right! But I get where you're coming from!

I have a few.
Tom- The Glass Menagerie
Katurian- The Pillowman
Bottom- A Midsummer Night's Dream
One of the Clowns in The 39 Steps would be a lot of fun
Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest
Once I am older I would love to play Bill or Charlie in August: Osage County
Eponine in LES MIZ
Bakers Wife in INTO THE WOODS
Amneris in AIDA
Florence in CHESS
Sandy.
Either Annie or Grease. Whichever.
My dream role is the Emcee too!!!
I'd also love play:

Judas-JCS
Che-Evita
Marius, Enjolras, Valjean (In that order)- Les Mis
Sweeney- Sweeney Todd
***Grizabello- My version of Cats***

Top two choices:
Cyrano de Bergerac
Fagin
As a middle aged father of three unmarried daughters, Tevye seems like the best fit. That said, my personal choice would be John Adams in 1776.
The "Noble track" in Little Me (preferably the 1998 or Australian version)
And, if Phantom of the Paradise ever gets its long-promised stage adaptation, either Swann or Leach. (Then again, I'd settle for "the guy in the House Band who gets killed in every song he performs.")
I have SO many, so bear with me...
Audrey - Little Shop of Horrors
Beth - Little Women
Crissy - HAIR
"Day by Day" track - Godspell
Girl - Once
Jovie - Elf
Olive - Spelling Bee
Penny - Hairspray
Star to Be - Annie
@allthatjazz LOL! I would love to play Herod in JCS! Saw the revival, and i realize it was very heavily critiqued...so don't stone me, but did you see the current JCS revival? If so did you like it? The leading player has some fun songs and is very entertaining. As for Sweeney....OMG same here, I would to play him too!

Gmerchant, sadly I didn't watch the revival, but from what I've seen and read it's not really my thing, not really a fan of the whole modern futuristic take on classic shows. I think the direction in which they went with the superstar number took away much of its power, as well. That being said many of my friends loved everything about it. And I must say I was obsessed with Josh's blue suit.
Sandy in Grease
Girl in Once, I got the accent down!
Kim in Bye Bye Birdie
Carrie in Carrie
Playbilly, I think id prefer Toto over Sandy, more substance lol

I have too many to name, but my biggest one would have to be Albin/Zaza in La Cage aux Folles.
I'd love to play Albin/Zaza as well!! And Bobby in Company, the Phantom in both productions, Peter Allen in the Boy from Oz, Radames in Aida, that score is a dream, and many many more...

I'm neither female nor African-American, but I would KILL to play Effie White.
I'm not an actor; I don't have one.
Maybe my dream role is social media person at a Broadway PR agency? :)
Rorschach, Who wouldn't??
I not female either and I would kill to play Rose, Sally Bowles, Evita, Aida, Roxie, Velma... The best roles are written for female stars!! It's really sad, my only chance at playing one of those roles is that all drag Gypsy Jordan mentioned once, lol...

Jean Valjean - Les Miserables
The Phantom - The Phantom of the Opera
The Baker's Wife - Into The Woods
And that's just the ones I can think up of the top of my head.
David "Davey" Gamble from "On A Clear Day You Can See Forever", with more of the original score ("Tosy and Cash", "Don't Tamper With My Sister" and regular versions os basically every song the 2011 Revival used) and the ending changed back to the original (they take a leap to explore "the chance of an extraordinary future", none of the David marries Warren crap, the point of the show is NOT that Harry Connick Jr gets over his dead wife NO ONE CARES).
