the song "rent" from the time the beat starts until the very end. i loved the way there were burning eviction notices, etc being thrown into the street from every which way. i loved how the entire thing looked.
I don't know how to decide, but it was the little things that got me.
-The eyebrow lift definitely
-Mimi's expressions in Goodbye Love
-Gordon's hesitation at speaking after looking at Mark's camera
-Joanne's diva turn on the stairs in Take Me or Leave Me
-Mark's lonely spazzing at the end of La Vie Boheme
-Collins' entrance
-I liked that the friends hugged one another hello all the time, which doesn't seem to happen on film that often, but is realistic
-The little tough guy speech before Maureen's show
-Mark's deer-caught-in-headlights look after Maureen kisses him
and of course
-When Collins runs his fingers over Angel's picture during I'll Cover You Reprise
The funniest for me was certainly Over the Moon.

The cliff scene is love.
(Colorbar from LJ)
My favorite MEMORABLE moments were:
Tango Maureen: 1. Maureen dances with Mark and Joanne dances back and forth between each other and with other Tango dancers. The whole scene was kinda hot. 2. When Mark lifts up Joanne and she does the twirly kick.
When Out Tonight ends and Another Day quickly picks up.
Out Tonight: 1. The camera angels focusing on the very flexible Mimi during her dance at the CatScratch Club. Too bad, it cuts to the street during half the song. 2. The expression on Roger's face when he sees Mimi climbing in through his window.
Santa Fe: 1. The flow of Collins swinging and dancing from pole to pole. 2. Collins pointing at Mark, Angel, and Roger "Gains, gains, gains"
Over The Moon: 1. The monitors as the back-up vocals and the expression of Maureen's face. 2. The overhead shot of Maureen near the end of her performance and those big lips. Hilarious! "I lowered myself beneath her..."
La Vie Boheme: 1. The mock funeral of "Bohemia" where Mark is passed to the rear and rocked back and forth to the 'cute as a button' look on his face when he sings out "To mother Earth, where we celebrate the birth."
2. Joanne and Maureen grinding each other on/near the table "Hey mister, she's my sister." "We're close."
3. Collins mock-slaps Angel "To S&M!"
Take Me Or Leave Me: 1. The look on Joanne's face when Maureen stands on the table near ice statue. 2. When Maureen playfully runs around teasing Joanne with her shift raised. 3. The engagement reception guests running and following Joanne and Maureen.
4. Joanne takes off her jacket and sings with open arms on the steps of the stairs.
Seasons Of Love B: 1. After song, Collins's "You're Drunk" and Angel's response, "No, I'm not." 2. "What a sweetheart" with Maureen walking across the bare and empty apartment with the chips. Why? I just thought that was cute and funny with her diva-ish attitude.
Without You: 1. Mimi sitting on the edge of the bathtub hacking away. 2. Life Support Members fading away. 3. Roger disapproval with Mimi visiting The Man again in the alley way. 3. Collins holding the dying Angel in both the subway and hospital bed.
I'll Cover You (Reprise): Joanne's belting out "With a thousands sweet kisses."
What You Own: Ha! Yea right, absolutely horrid.
Anyone noticed the 'Will I?' song is different from the soundtrack. At the verse when the female vocals enters, the pitch is higher at "From this nightmare!!!" than on the recording.
Take me as I am-- when maureen go up on the table with the ice sculpture and mimi tries to get Roger's attention
the whole scene of Tango Maureen, most importantly when, at the end, Mark says "pookie" to Joanne. and when Mark does his tango move before they start dancing
Roger crying at the funeral
the scene when Mark's family calls followed by the line about why he was still living there
at the end, when collins, mark, and roger toast and collins looks up and toasts to Angel
my fav was RENT, that number gave me the chills
Without You has to be one of the most powerful things I have ever seen.

I have a question about WYO...
so roger sells his guitar and buys a car before he goes to Santa Fe, but then when he is in Santa Fe he sells his car and buys back his guitar. Why is his guitar in a shop in Santa Fe!?
Saw it again,
Without you - breath taking, touching, it was all in there.
Life support members fading away, that's so moving.
Mark 'prancing' after Benny right before he begins La Vie Boheme
Roger popping up out of no where in a covertable
Roger singing on the cliffs
Take me or leave me, when Mimi tries to get Rogers attention and he turns with food in his mouth, or something
When Angel is singing 'Music...' in La Vie Boheme B and Mimi and Roger have a shot behind the counter
Roger crying...during anytime of the movie
Collins holding Angel in the hospital and subway
Mimi painting Angels nails in the hospital
Ok, im just going to stop for now.

"at the end, when collins, mark, and roger toast and collins looks up and toasts to Angel "
huh? don't remember that one...
~ there were several:
tango: maureen: the fantasy sequence and the number as a whole was very well done. idina is so sexy in this.
out tonight: what can i say? my rosario did me so proud! some great moves! props to keith young for that choreography. my favorite part of that number was when she's dangling on the edge of the fire escape and gyrating: "na-na-na ouuuut tonight"!
without you: because it went places the show didn't go. it showed everyone and their individual struggles, especially mimi's heroin addiction and it's effect on her relationship with roger as well as showing angel's health slowly decline. it'a moving piece.
i'll cover you (reprise): jesse l. martin outdid himself.
another moving piece. you see the them not only mourning angel's death but the rift between their relationships as well.
WhatDoINeedWithLove?
The guitar he buys in Santa Fe is a totally new and different guitar then the one he starts off with in the begining of the movie. I was a little confused at first too, then i took a good look at it.
I loved the scene when Roger is singing what you on on the cliff, it was amazing!
~ what you on?
what *are* you on?

Without You.
Out Tonight
Take Me or Leave Me
RENT
La Vie Boheme
Tango Maureen
etc. etc.
WickedRentLuv:
When Collins visits Roger and Mark at the end of the movie, collins pours drink into cups and they each tap each other's cup in a chears sort of motion, and right before collins drinks his, he looks up toward the heavens as if giving respect to Angel
Other fave parts:
the whole RENT scene
Benny's and Collins' reaction to Mark being dumped for a girl
Angel trying to avoid eye contact of Benny at the begining of Le vie Boheme and trying not to laugh
Gordon during "Life Support"-- he's just as I pictured him
Today 4 U
La Vie Boheme
Mark's Movie
Take Me or Leave Me
Tango:Maureen
Over the Moon
My favorite scene was the end credits because it meant this awful movie was finally over. Yech.
wow,
so many choices
when Roger comes to life support-- I thought that was great
Tango Maureen when they are doing the tango
Marks Movie, i have always loved it but I find it very touching
without you
when Collins says "Merry Christmas Bitches"
life support scenes
over the moon
out tonight--very good Rosario
another day
the funeral for Angel and a nice touch with the drum sticks
la vie boheme
when Angel breaks the lock to get back in and Collins says your drunk and she says no im not
the whole show-- way to many to chose

My 2 Cents (these may not be in order):
RENT: Showing Mimi yelling the same words, "We're not gonna pay" out the window. She has the same gripes as Mark and Roger!
YOU'LL SEE BOYS: Benny speaking the line about the Range Rover. I giggled, because it was so natural for that to be there then.
The "You Ok, Honey?" scene: Angel and his pickletub, helping Collins. Awww.
GLORY: the use of April in the flashbacks. I really liked that, although, when she was looking at the results of the HIV test, I had the wish that they could have used the show idea, "close on Roger," so it would have been more clear about April and then Roger having AIDS.
TANGO: MAUREEN: Oh, the dialogue in the middle of the dance, how I love thee. Oh, and the dance-dream sequence as well.
LIFE SUPPORT(S): Mark's entrance in the first, and awkwardness at filming the proceedings, the people gradually leaving the picture in the later incarnations, very powerful.
after LIGHT MY CANDLE: Mimi's note to Roger via the window. I thought that fit Mimi perfectly.
Collins making the "He's whipped" gesture to Mark about Maureen.
I'LL COVER YOU: Isn't it so right for Angel and Collins to be dancing around in Central Park? I also liked the inclusion of the purchase of the the leather coat, too.
LA VIE BOHEME: The "passing around Mark" part.
Transition into LA VIE BOHEME B: Roger and Mimi being all cutesy and kissing. Awwww.
TAKE ME OR LEAVE ME: Yes, I'm a straight girl, but Idina+Pool Table=Hot.
The Graveyard Scene: Bawled all through it, especially when I could have sworn there was the clink of two drumsticks in Collins hand....broke my heart, had me thinking "But, but they're Angel's drumsticks!"
WHAT YOU OWN: Mark editing his footage, and getting upset when seeing the frame of Angel spinning around in his Santa suit.
WITHOUT YOU: The shots of Mimi's addiction, and going back and forth, because of her feelings for, and losing Roger.
Sorry for this being so long. Sad part is, there are probably more, but my mind can only come up with these
"Christmas Bells" ...OH WAIT!
