Did anyone else laugh when they entered the cafe for LVB and the waiter said, "Just don't move the tables, please" (or something very similar)? I thought it was a reference to the stage show and the oft-moving tables. Cracked me up.
Also enjoyed Mark's father making a phone message appearance, and Maureen taking the camera from Mark and filming/teasing him with it.
Was I the only one who thought Maureen's performance took place outside?
I LOVED this movie. And I knew that the final shot would make it or break it for me. But that shot of Angel? Perfection.
"Was I the only one who thought Maureen's performance took place outside?"
No. Infact in the show, it does take place in the lot. I don't know why they moved it inside. It confused me...I thought she couldn't get a performance space and thus had to actually do the protest AT the lot.
Without You was my favorite part of the movie, which is extremely surprising since I think that it's one of the weaker songs in the show. I really loved the way that they handled it, though...that montage was so moving.
Second favorite.... absolutely La Vie Boheme and La Vie Boheme B. Tons of energy, infectious, well-staged... plus, this song defines the show and what it's about more than any other.
I also adored I'll Cover You... Jesse and Wilson are so great together, and you can see how blissful Collins and Angel are to have found one another.

So many...
-Without You, especially the part where Mimi's buying drugs in the alley and Roger comes in and pushes her. I love how you can hear them really faintly and their acting is amazing.
-Out Tonight
-La Vie Boheme
-Tango Maureen
-Take Me or Leave Me, including everyone's expressions as they watch them and follow them around
Random lines-
-"Merry Christmas, bitches!"
-"Maybe now you two can get back together."
"Without You"
"Did anyone else laugh when they entered the cafe for LVB and the waiter said, "Just don't move the tables, please" (or something very similar)? I thought it was a reference to the stage show and the oft-moving tables. Cracked me up. "
what was even funnier was the fact that right after he said that someone suggested they move the tables together
Oh you have all mentioned the many funny scenes I enjoyed. But the parts that impacted me was Andy Lohr beginning WillI (actually that whole song) and I'll Cover You:Reprise. Jesse totally rocked this movie and he made the entire piece so moving for me. Of course I enjoyed the whole thing, loved it, but Jesse's face during that part is engraved in my mind.
