I live in NYC and have seen almost every show on broadway, but my girlfriend lives in California. We are going to see a show tomorrow (Sunday Feb 7th) but im a little stumped on what to bring her to. She has never been to a broadway show. Any suggestions?

You have seen everything that is playing on THE Broadway and you have to ask US what show to take your girlfriend who lives in Canada to?

Hmmm, well...... Girls really LOVE Wicked and Wicked is a really epic, really good show to see on Broadway. It's not a snoozer and it's got something for everyone. Also, The Phantom of the Opera was my first show and it's another epic one that would be a great firs-time show. Tell us how things went and have fun!

Or check which shows are in danger of closing because of poor ticket sales and buy a couple for that show? Take a chance and help out the people who need it most.

PEACE.

I'm confused - is the fact that she's from California supposed to be enough to base a recommendation on? No age? Likes/dislikes? Phobias?

Well, I think she will really enjoy anything I take her to.Just the fact that we are spending time together is great cause it doesnt happen too often. I just want to make it memorable. I know Wicked gets a lot of flack on this site but I thought that could be a good first broadway musical. Im just asking for opnions. I wanted to take her to Ragtime but sadly enough, thats not possible anymore.

she is 25

Wicked. Because she probably won't EVER have a chance to see that in Canada.

You know her a lot better than us, and you've seen everything on Broadway, so I think you are far and away the most qualified person to answer your question.

Take her to see Fanny! It's romantic and has a score to die for.

Take her to see Avenue Q. She needs to memorize "If You Were Gay" just in case.
