I want to go to a broadway show for my birthday but don't know what to see. I've already seen Avenue Q, Rent, Wicked, Lion King, Tarzan, & Beauty and the beast. I also have a nine year old sister and I would be taking her too. I wanna know what you guys think. I was thinking Sweeney Todd but then bc it's closing does that mean it's not worth the time. I also want to get cheap seats like 45 each or under. I also want something that is easy to get seats to because my birthday is the 23rd so i want to go in like the 27th or around their.
Ok. Definately see Sweeny Todd before it closes, and no, it will not be a waste of your time. You could probably try TKTS for it and get them. But see it before it leaves.
Why would a show closing make it "a waste of time"?
My concern is, based solely on the other things you listed, it may not be your "type of show".
Based on what you've already seen, and also the fact that you're taking your 9 year old sister, I would say that Sweeney Todd is not the best choice for you. However, because a show is closing does not mean it isn't worth your time. Shows close for many reasons, not all of which have anything to do with artistic merit.

I wouldn't recommend bringing your 9 year old sister to Sweeney. She'd probably be bored out of her mind. Hairspray is very fun and you can get cheap tickets easily.
The ending (not going to spoil) of Sweeney Todd that isn't written in the vocal score or libretto will also scare your nine year old sister out of her mind. (If you have another adult with you, I'd reccomend leaving your sister with that person and seeing Sweeney yourself.)
Anyway-
Hairspray's a good choice. I don't know if your sister's Broadway musical savy, but The Drowsy Chaperone's a good choice if you wanted to spend a bit more money. It's also quite short, so if she won't get quite so fidgety. There's nothing inappropriate about it.

Well I took her to Rent with my parents and she loved it. I was woundering how about Phantom same question can I get cheap seats and do u think she'll be ok watching it.

What are DRS and hairspray about? are they good? I really for some reason can't get into the story of Droswy
Phantom is probably the worst musical ever written and will bore a 9 year old to tears.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels has several sexual references, drops a few curse words and is a bit bawdy, but I think if your sister is mature, it might be okay.
Take this kid to see The Wedding Singer. Fun!
Yes, it's no Sweeney Todd, but The Wedding Singer would be a good, inexpensive choice.
I love "Sweeney" but think "The Color Purple" might be a better choice.
I would never take a 9 year old to see Sweeney. If she understands it she may get upset or even scared. If she still enjoys Disney, Beauty and the Beast is easilly available. Otherwise I'd say Hairspray or The Wedding Singer

HAIRSPRAY is your best bet if you've never seen it. Your nine year old sister will fall in love with it, i'm sure.
