Both shows have been around a while, but current sales remain strong for both:
Show Name GrossGross TotalAttn %Cap AvgPdAdm
JERSEY BOYS $1,134,039 9,894 101.21% $114.62
WICKED $1,406,548 13,970 96.53% $100.68
Our bell curve sales prediction spreadsheet predicted that Wicked offers its first discount in Feb 2010 - its been right about 30% of the time so far - it based it on it being a larger theatre to fill and irregular patterns in historical %Cap. Of course it doesnt take into account non-math parameters, like whether or not people actually want to see the show or it really catches the Phantom "bug" of seeing it muliple times.

Both offer discounts already on www.workingadvantage.com
I just bought Jersey Boys tickets for $68 each, and Wicked has been on there also.
Unfortunately, your company has to have an account to purchase them on this site.
HBBrock,
Couple of questions -
Did you notice that you are not able to actually select your seat location in the purchase, why do you think that is?
Why didnt the sale happen thru broadwayoffers.com ?
Are you under the assumption that this ticket purchase is in some way approved by the producers of the show ?
What's your experience been like with WA in the past, did you get a good seat, or was it in the back row cnr of the mezz ?
BTW We dont have any discounts to those shows.

Personally, I thought JB might go first. While they do have a dedicated fanbase Wicked's is, stereotypically, more hardcore.

Yes, of course I noticed that you can't select your seat. It's like TDF. But when most tickets are going for $120, I have to accept that :)
This sale didn't happen with broadwayoffers.com because not all sales happen on the same websites.
Of course these tickets are approved by producers of the show!
This is my first ticket purchase on workingadvantage.com.....they guarantee for Jersey Boys it will be Mezzanine Row M or better so it can't be the last row!

What other shows are on working advantage?
well, technically Jersey Boys were the first to offer a discount. Before they won the Tony, the show was at TKTS for it's first 4-5 months(usually at 50%).

Every show on Broadway has been on WorkingAdvantage.com at one point or another.
My company uses Plum Benefits, which sounds a lot like Working Advantage. I haven't used it to buy tickets yet, so I can't vouch for seat selection. When you buy, you're sent to Ticketmaster or Telecharge.
With the exception of A Steady Rain, Billy Elliot and WSS, it seems every show is on PlumBenefits (including the October openings). Yes, even Wicked, but it doesn't seem to be offering much of a deal. They're only offering reserved orchestra seats on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for $111.25 (for some reason, Wednesday includes a hat and a gift voucher). I would think that the "benefit" here would be seats that may have been held for Plum Benefits members - but maybe I'm wrong.
On the other hand, the Jersey Boys offer is $62.00-$122.00 for various midweek dates in October. Quite a contrast!

But $122 and $62 are the regular prices for Jersey Boys and $111.25 is the regular price for Wicked. Why not just go to the box office and actually pick your seats?
"But $122 and $62 are the regular prices for Jersey Boys and $111.25 is the regular price for Wicked. Why not just go to the box office and actually pick your seats?"
Because Plum Benefits sets aside a block of tickets for its users who have access to a code. Your company needs to subscribe to Plum Benefits in order to obtain the codes. If you don't have the code, those seats would be off-limits to you at the box office and online.
And I am just curious if the original poster is using this as part of a market research study (especially since NYTix.com, Plum Benefits and Working Advantage are competitors), which would be nice to know. Are you trying to implement some sort of discount for Wicked and/or Jersey Boys?
