I'm planning to see a few Broadway shows while I'm in the city from April 5-8 with my husband and 13-year-old daughter. My daughter and I have seen Wicked (our favorite), Hairspray and Spamalot (loved both), The Lion King, Mamma Mia, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (liked them). My husband saw Spamalot with us and liked it a lot but wasn't crazy about The Lion King.
Does anyone have any recommendations for what we should see this time? I was considering Legally Blonde, Young Frankenstein, and South Pacific. Would these be appropriate/appealing for a 13-year-old? How about for a mid-30s dad?? Anything else you can recommend?

Grease and Legally Blonde.
In the Heights.
Or maybe Xanadu? -I wasn't overly a fan, but a lot of folks *loved* it.
Or Blonde.
I would not recommend Grease, unless she watched the reality show and 'needs' to see it because of the stars of that show or something.
Why not a play? The 39 Steps was quite funny and if you are a Hitchcock fan you will really like it.
Might as well mention the Disney musicals:
Lion King
Mary Poppins
The Little Mermaid
or:
Wicked
Legally Blonde
Grease
Young Frankenstein

Legally Blonde. The last thing a 13 year old who has seen those shows wants to do is see South Pacific.
I was 14 and saw Spring Awakening with my parents. If your daughter knows about those themes, she'd probably love you for taking her.
Young Frankenstein!!!! The sets are worth it!
Take her down to Avenue Q. The whole family might learn a thing or two!!
Cheers
Legally Blonde or Xanadu.
A Chorus Line, Jersey Boys or The Little Mermaid.
