Hey everyone, this is my first post! Anyway I was in NYC about a month ago and saw The Boy from Oz and Cabaret(loved both of them). I plan on going back sometime this winter or spring and am considereing seeing:
Hairspray
Wicked
The Producers
Chicago
Lion King
Beauty and the Beast
Movin' Out
Shows I've already seen on broadway or tour: Aida, Rent, Phantom(3 times!). Anyone have any suggestions what I should see. I can probably afford to see 2 shows(3 at the most).

See Wicked. One of the best shows on the boards.

Posted: 11/11/03 at 4:22pmI'm 21. Oops I did forget to add Gypsy to my list. I saw a production of it in Cincinnati and wasn't wild about it, but I hear the new one with Bernadette is fabulous.

"Shut up! It's been 29 years!!!" --the incomparable Patti LuPone in her MUCH DESERVED Tony acceptance speech for Gypsy.

Posted: 11/11/03 at 9:22pmI guess I would consider myself a Phantom fan, because that's the first professional show I ever saw. I was about 11 or 12 and my mom took my to see it in Toronto and I've been in love with theatre ever since! I've since seen the show again in Toronto and once on Broadway. I remember that the broadway phantom cast was so nice, they signed all of our playbills after the show and even chatted with us for awhile. It made the show a very memorable experience!
