What the..? A Broadway revival of Camelot with Liam Neeson????

This very interesting sentence is buried in an article on Playbill.com about a Ft. Worth staging of Camelot:

"A Broadway revival adapted by Edward Hall is in development as a vehicle for Liam Neeson."

Has anyone hear anything about this??? What a tease this is with no other details!

That role belongs to Brent Barrett. He is perfect in the role.

Is Liam Neeson being considered for King Arthur? How much singing ability is needed there? Barrett, at this stage, is far more suited to Lancelot. Now that would be a win/win.

Stone you? Hell no! Liam Neeson is a fabulous choice for Arthur (so is Liev Schreiber, if they wanted to go a little young).

Brent is the best choice in my opinion.
He has the perfect voice for the role he is my favorite singer of all time.

Corrine; I love Brent Barrett. But his name above the title will not sell tickets I am afraid. :) Camelot is a dull show anyway (In my opinion). I would rather see brett in something new and original.

Why wont his name sell tickets. It really upsets me.
The man has one of the greatest male voices of all time and he is very handsome. He needs to get his name out there.
The man blows most stars away. I mean look at Chicago the movie.
Richard Gere sold tickets but he was maybe about 1/10th as talented as Brent was in the show.
I want to see Brent as the lead in CAMELOT and films.
Liam is a wonderful actor but my guess he does not have Brent's voice. Who does?

Oh and Brents favorite role is King Arthur.
It killed me at Broadway on Broadway all the press people were going nuts over Melanie and Brent was ignored. It was a shame!

Calm down, Corine. If you love his voice so much why would you want him to play Arthur? It's kind of like saying I love Ann Reinking so much she is such a great dancer, she sould star in Who's Life Is It, Anyway?

Do you have Richard Burton's greatest hit? How about Richard Harris'? Did not think so.

(Whatever happened to ANN REINKING FAN anyway?)

I really like Liam and Brent, but I have never cared for Camelot. If I bought a ticket, it would be to see them and not particularly the show. Now if we could find a way to get them both in a production of Brigadoon, I would be much more thrilled.

Speaking of Lerner and Loewe, when do we get a revival of Paint Your Wagon? I saw a very good regional production of the show (with the surprisingly talented blast-from-the-past Roy Clark) and found it absolutely charming.

Corine... Corine... Corine...... BREATHE BABY BREATHE! The reason he is not a name is because outside the savy theater community and a few others.. no one knows who he is. But I agree.. he has abeautiful voice and I love his Kander and Ebb album.
