I was wondering what time the actors had to report to the theatres during the strike to get paid. I was there on saturday night around six thirty and I did join the picket line at the Majestic but it was just the stage hands and no actors there.
I am not asking this because of the " I wanna use this as a time to stage door." thing. I know a couple of people in different shows and I wanna see if I can stop by show my support say hi and all that good stuff.

"The leadership of Actors' Equity Association, the union of professional actors and stage managers, has instructed its members to show up for work at half-hour — 30 minutes before curtain — and sign in, proving they were ready and able to work."

No Coolkid,
Difference between what I am doing and that is very simple. I actually know people in some of the shows it won't be a typicle " O my god I'm your biggest fan. Can I have your autograph??" It will be more along the lines of " Hey how are you? how's your family? How are things?" type of a discussion.

So basically you are using this as a time to stage door.

Well, there are people you "know" and then people you "know well" I would suppose. I think he means he's leaving the Playbill's at home. I hope he brings the donuts. I mean, Jay Leno at least did that much for peoples, he "knows".

I just figured that they canbe slow sometimes to answer their emails. So I figured that I could get a quicker response here. And I did.

They are being reimbursed by the stagehands union's strike fund, and the most that can be legally distributed is $405/week, which is New York State's maximum unemployment allowance.
