I'm planning to rush How to Succeed later this week and was wondering about what time I should get there? Is 5 too early?

I think it is a little early but thats up to you. the box office opens at 10am. You have a better chance doing it on a 2 show day. They give between 50-100 tickets per show. I would say get there about 7am but thats up to you

Might be too late, but I rushed H2$ last Wednesday. I got there at 7:15 and was third in line. Most people started arriving at around 7:30. I'd say no later than 8 to guarantee tickets.

Last Saturday, my friend got there around 6:30 and she was about 15th in line and I met up with her & line up after her. She got Orch Row B, seat 8 and 10 for the matinee and I got Orch Row A, seat 6 and 8 for the evening.

I got there just after 8 on a few Saturdays ago, with my friend, and we bagged three tickets for the matinee. As others have said, they have loads of them, so on a double performance day, you should be fine even around that time.

It sounds like the rush seats are the extreme sides of the orchestra. How bad are they in terms of view -- how much is cut off?

Checking my ticket (which has PARTIAL VIEW stamped on it), I was sat in G17 in the Orchestra. From what I remember, part of the top left is obscured, but apart from a few of Biggley's scenes on a platform (I could see him fine, mainly the scenery surrounding him was a bit of a blurb), I saw the whole show very clearly.

Anyway, that was just my seat, one out of a possible 50-100. I believe the boxes are also part of the rush policy.

I had row A, seats 1 and 2. The view was fine for the most part, except for the Biggley scenes that AvenueQResident mentioned and the first 30 seconds or so of "Grand Old Ivy." Otherwise, I saw the rest of the show perfectly.

And the boxes are definitely part of the rush policy as well.
