Hey everybody!
What is there to do in New York around August. I just purchased Wicked tickets for August 28th. I have never been to New York before and I am really looking foward to it. I am planning on being in New York for a week. Thank you in advance,
J

Well I really wanted..."wicked" Wicked seats, and plus August 28th is my birthday. So I figured what better what to spend my 23rd than in New York.
Umm.... more shows? Guys & Dolls, 9to5, West Side Story, Hair?
Shopping, museums, art galleries, sight seeing, more broadway and OFF b'way shows, street fairs.
Just be prepared for it to be hot and humid!
With the suckish economy be prepared to have a whole set of options in august.
There Broadway in Bryant Park, but the schedule wont be up till much much later.

definitely check out the nyc fringe festival, the self-styled "largest multi-arts festival in north america."
i usually see between 5 and 10 shows each year, and always find a gem or two in the lot.
