As many of you know I will be in the city on november 10th and 11th. I'm seeing Rent for the 4th time on the 11th I'm gonna get lotto. I'm woundering what show I should see Friday Night I thinking between Phantom of the opera or the new revival of Les Miz. I've never seen either of them. Also will I be able to get cheap tickets on a friday night I know Phantom offers 26.25 Rear mezz seats but that's only Monday- Thursday. What show should I see? Both of them don't offer any form of rush correct?
Thanks

Les Mis Les Mis Les Mis
No contest.
Les Mis. No question.
Its a tough choice, both of them are classics, but you can't go wrong with either. Jennifer Hope Wills is spectacular in Phantom, but Les Miz has a stellar cast! Either is perfect.

Les Miz. And I'm not being biased, I swear!

havent seen LES MIS yet, but have seen PHANTOM and loved it. as said earlier, Jennifer Hope Wills is in PHANTOM and shes awesome, and LES MIS has Celia so...cant go wrong with either :)
I agree - Les Mis. PHANTOM will be around for who knows how long, and the return engagement of Les Miserables will be around for only six months. Les Miserables.

I love both of them, but I agree with Piazzaslight: See Les Miz while you can; Phantom will be here forever.

Les Miserables has SRO if the show is sold out.

I would say go to Les Mis. I haven't seen either, but I am seeing Les Mis and I am betting that Phantom will be around and Les Mis is here for a limited time. Go to Phantom next time in the city. :)

Okay, I don't understand something.
Why do people who don't get to the city often choose to see RENT or WICKED for thr 27th time, rather than going to check out something new that might not be around next time they come? GREY GARDENS, UTOPIA, COMPANY, etc? It just doesn't make any sense to me.

maybe because they don't want to?
You can always catch "Phantom." "Les Mis" will close soon. So go see Les Mis.

I have always wondered that. But to each his own.
Because if you are going to spend the money and take the trouble to go into the city, you want to be GAURENTEED an amazing experience. Take it from someone who has seen Phantom 27 times...
Phantom is just a waste of theatre space. Go see les Miz at least you would be seeing something good.

Why don't you wait and see which show is available at the TKTS booth, since you've been hounding us with questions about it for the past eight weeks.
BTW; What do you mean by "woundering"? This has nothing to do with wounds or injuries, does it?

Since when has RENT "gaurenteed" an amazing experience?
