What to see this weekend???

Hey everyone! I'm going to NYC for the weekend and already have tickets for Wedding Singer, Mary Poppins, and Wicked. I want to see something on Sunday, but I don't know what to see!!! Help!!

A Chorus Line, if you can scrounge-up tickets (check Craigslist). Either that, or...The Color Purple, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, maybe even a Les Mis preview...At least, those are the shows I would choose

I believe Chorus Line is not doing Sunday perfs until January now. They had a schedule change about 2 weeks ago.

Do not see THE LION KING or PURPLE. If you don't live in NYC, they will eventally tour.

I would go with A CHORUS LINE or GREY GARDENS.

If you'll be here Monday, see COMPANY!

but those two are mainstays in NYC for a while...who wants to wait for the tours? if you're in NYC and want something truly broadway, i say check them out.

You can't get more truly Broadway than A CHORUS LINE.

If I were only able to go to NYC once or twice a year and I got tickets to see THE LION KING or THE COLOR PURPLE, I would feel like I wasted my time.

Yea A Chorus Line isnt playing Sundays, sadly. That was going to be my choice!!

I don't think GREY GARDENS is playing on Sundays either until it opens.

You can only see a show Sunday afternoon?

What have you seen that is still playing?

munk - i pushed for a chorus line too (it's my new favorite), until i was told it wasn't on sundays. that's why i suggested the other two. did you read through this thread before shooting down my ideas and insisting on ACL and grey gardens?

The Drowsy Chaperone - I've seen it six times, and I have never been disappointed. Beth Leavel, Danny Burstein, and Bob Martin absolutely chew the scenery!

spamalot, Hairspray, or tarzan. Trazan wasn't really that bad...it was actually very enjoyable

don't forget to consider what shows you'll have better luck getting at such a last-minute date.
if you take that into account, i'd suggest hairspray, tarzan, the color purple, beauty and the beast, and i love you you're perfect now change (it's technically off-broadway but it's SUCH a fun show!)
whatever you end up seeing - enjoy

Hmm.. Alright thanks for your help everyone. I'm leaving Monday morning, unfortunately or I would have loved Company. I've seen pretty much everything that's good. Oh well, I'll just get something last minute. Thanks everyone :)

well, i just wanted to suggest maybe rushing THE COLOR PURPLE on Sunday
great show, and you could probably see LaChanze before she leaves!
