Both of those people are still around - Timothy Nolan is on the SWEENEY concert dvd as the Judge.

Russ Thacker still performs here and there - he was actually in his thirties when he played a teenager in GRASS HARP.

I can (somewhat)answer the Timothy Nolan one. He was at NYCO TWICE this season. In Patience and in The Mines of Sulpher.

I LOVE his voice; it melts my kneecaps every time!

Timothy Nolen is a big opera star - the rare baritone who can really act! I've seen him as Papageno in MAGIC FLUTE, Voltaire/Pangloss in Harold Prince's CANDIDE, and many others.

Besides playing the Judge in the concert version of SWEENEY TODD that is on DVD, he has played the role of Sweeney in many regional theatres. He has done other musicla comedy roles including Hajjj the Beggar in KISMET.
