Yes, what about that gifted Rowe in ASPECTS? She was a real leading lady, and seemed to disappear after that show ended. For the record, what happened to Ann Crumb?

Most of these updates certainly are uplifting (sorry about Maranne Plunket; I should've known her and several others). It's a reminder that the life of an actor is along and winding road, Broadway a memorable stop, but sometimes only a stop. The 80s proved to be a decade rich with talent, and it's great to hear how many of these gifted artists have continued to work.

A couple of more, from the original ANNIE: Sandy Faison and Robert Fitch, and the original Lily, Barbara Erwin. And that young orphan who later appeared on the Archie Bunker spinoff: Danielle Brisebois.

Brisebois came out with an album a few years back. I also remember an interview with her when Caroll O'connor died.
She's still plugging away.

Sandy Faison was the sister of my 3rd grade teacher. I have no idea what she's up to now.

Danielle Brisebois eventually went on to a career in pop music. She did an album or two of her own material back in the 90's, and Clay Aiken recorded one of her songs on his solo cd.

Ann Crumb has been working, she did something off Broadway this summer. I can't recall the name. She's also working on her website.

Barbara Erwin played Tessie Tura in the Tyne Daly production of GYPSY. She also appeared in the film A League Of Our Own. Sadly, she suffered a stroke some years ago, and passed away a few years later.

Ann Crumb did a concert this weekend of her dad's music. Wasn't she in Johhny Guitar?

Love this thread!

Charles Repole's last bway credit was for directing Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, which lasted about a minute and got terrible reviews. He teaches at Queens College and has directed for City Center's Encores! series (Dubarry was a Lady and Call me Madam.)

About a year and a half ago, I had to travel for business to the Left Coast (Silicon Valley). One of the women I met and was working with discovered I was an actor and started telling me about her cousin, who was an actor in NYC. She left it at that, until she just happened to remember that her cousing was nominated for a Tony. Odds were, I heard of her cousin. It turned out to be Kathleen Rowe McAllen. Apparently, she moved back to the Left Coast and was caring for her sick mom. That's about all the info I got out of the cousin!

WOSQ,

Thanks for the juicy dish about Anglim -- I remember him being run out of town and that he ended up on one of the Star Treks, but didn't know all the rest.....

By the way, as I noted in my earlier post, Maryann Plunkett is co-starring in Richard Nelson's new play "Rodney's Wife" currently running at Playwrights Horizons.

Whatever happened to that ugly girl that was an Annie replacement? Her last name was Parker, but I can't remember her first name. It was something like Sarah or Jessica or something.

Linda Thorson -- She was in the 2002 Steven Seagal film "Half Past Dead" -- I hardly recognized her.

Patti Cohenhour did one of the Encores shows a few years ago and was wonderful.
Alyson Reed started doing TV and I've seen her on Law and Order recently.

This IS a great thread...what happened to Stephen Geoffreys, who was nominated for a Tony for THE HUMAN COMEDY? He's my doppelganger...I know he had a very successful career in film in the late eighties (Heaven Help Us, Fright Night) before going into--gasp!--gay porn in the nineties, but where is he now??

Unbelievable isn't it? A Tony nomination, to acting with Roddy McDowell and Sean Penn to porn...I bet he has some interesting stories to tell.

Margo, Anglim was unique among those I cited here, in that he was never widely praised. He was a one hit wonder, but only to a point--Did he really buy the rights for ELEPHANT MAN, or his rich father did, or someone -- is that how he got the part? Or is that theatrical myth? I used to hear that. When he and Maureen Anderman did The Scottish Play in the Beaumont, directed by Sarah Caldwell, opera director legendaire, he was trounced upon. That's the production that Miss LuPone wiselely turned down.

I see a one man show there, in fact...

I saw Geoffreys in HUMAN COMEDY. Gifted, charming, but let's just say not porn material, unless it was to be a NAMBLA poster boy. But different strokes for different folks. Literally.

My favorite Whatever happpened to ... used to be:

Janie Sell.

She was amazing in OVER HERE in the 70s as the 3rd (Nazi) Andrews Sister. Won a Tony. Then disappeared for two decades to become a secretary (I think), only to resurface as understudy to Carol Burnette in that Ken Ludwig play. Because Carol only plays 7 of anything she does, Janie got to do the Wednesday matinee I believe. A happy ending -- coming back to be Burnette's alternate.

Lara Teeter is now chairman of the Musica Theater Dept. at Shenadoah University. His last public performance was at Oklahoma City University's 50th anniversary of their music dept. He does not perform anymore although apparently Kristen C. had asked him to consider him playing the Wizard in Wicked (he was an early supporter of hers at OCU).

Ben Wright is out of the business. I believe he works in some sort of insurance industry. Did you know Sondheim had asked him to be the original narrator in Assassins and her turned it down and left the biz.

Frances Ruffelle recently played Roxie in the London revival of Chicago.

And I saw Robert Westenberg in The Full Monty tour about two years ago.
