This show has had a ton of workshops and out of town try outs and an off Broadway run. The show keeps getting pretty good reviews and people seem to enjoy it. Do you think Broadway is in its future or is this show just going to have its rights released for schools and community theatres to use? It doesn't seem like it would be an expensive shows to produce and it has a medium size cast so I don't get why they are moving it toward Broadway. Anyone have any information?
It wouldn't be expensive to produce, no, but I think it's just a little too small for Broadway. If they amp it up to play on a larger stage for a larger house, it could lose a lot of its magic.
I'm a fan of the piece. I'd love to see it live on. I don't know if the numbers make sense for anyone to step in and try a Broadway run.
I've heard that it wass being shepherded towards Broadway by some of the same investors of wicked, on the town, curious incident.... but i've heard no buzz since the tepid response in Seatle. It's possible that they're still investing based on the potential of the piece. I'd love to see RSO make his Broadway debut!
