With the addition of Sacha Baren Cohen as Pirelli in the movie, the thing I have to ask is when will they annouce the rest of the cast? I would think soon if they are to record to the soundtrack soon.
Also, one little thing. Since the Hairspray movie is wrapping up production, do you think it's possible that Christopher Walken might do The Judge in Sweeney? I think that he could really pull off The Judge well.

Posted: 11/24/06 at 5:47pmI thought the Jim Broadbent rumor was that he was in talks to be in a movie musical, and it was assumed Hairspray...I could be wrong though. I thought they announced Christopher Walken not long after the Jim Broadbent rumor started.

Kelly has also been rumored as appearing as Sweeney's wife in flashbacks.
Ever since her name was leaked as a possible cast member, she has been 'rumored' to be playing just about every single female role outside of Mrs. Lovett. Time will only tell whether she is even in the cast, let alone who she'll be playing.

Jim Broadbent HAD been announced as Wilbur in HAIRSPRAY and then there was this online (in other places as well)
