In February Playbill reported ...Showbiz411 reports that Academy Award winner Robert De Niro, again Oscar-nominated for his performance in Silver Linings Playbook, plans to direct the musical, which will feature a book by Palminteri and a score by David Bryan (Memphis).

Todays story has Alan Menkin and Chazz Palminteri writing the score.

Bryan had been tied to the show for the past few years I wonder what happened?

Maybe Zaks brought in Menken? Not sure who came first, but Zaks definitely talks about enjoying working with Menken.
