Wow, I didn't know it had gone out of print.
I keep putting off buying that one. Thanks for the head's up!
I just snagged the last decently priced copy off of Half.com for $19.95.
All the remaining copies are $77 or higher.
There are some on eBay for under $20, but they have days to go.

Posted: 1/2/06 at 1:50amhahah i just like good singers, the woman who played Rusty was the main reason i bought it
#11re: When did the 'Footloose' cast recording go out of print?
Posted: 1/2/06 at 4:58amyeah i only bought it to hear how they "broadway"-ed up the more pop songs and well, they didn't do anything cool with it and i just found most the songs forgettable.

Posted: 1/2/06 at 9:09amOne of the worst shows with one of the worst recordings ever. I can't believe people paid 90 dollars for it. And as much as we all love JLT, it is not exactly her best moment.

Ha, I am sure there is a reason I waited 8 years to buy my copy. :)
I figure I'll listen to it, see if I like it at all and stick that puppy right up on eBay if it continues getting that much $$$.
I actually stumbled across the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade footage of Jeremy Kushnier and the cast singing the title song in the raining in November of 98. I couldn't help but giggle.
I haven't heard the entire score though.
What truly amazes me is that there is apparently a book about the making of the musical. That seems odd.

Posted: 1/2/06 at 1:22pmI must say, I own it, and much as I love Almost Paradise, that version of Let's Hear It For The Boy is pretty brutal. Agreed?
