I saw one last weekend and couldn't believe it. Unfortunately, they still sang like they had mics.

And When I saw Brian Stokes Mitchell last he did two numbers where he said "I hate mics, and I am doing these numbers without them"

I have never seen a professional production of a book musical that hasn't used mics in some capacity.

I saw a production of Urinetown without mics, but it was in a very small, very intimate theater.

And, come to think of it, I don't even know if it was a professional production...
