This bit of news was confirmed back in mid-January 2010 when the series was going strong in its new season.

Unfortunately, the series ends its 4 season run in a few weeks so its obvious this Liza Minnelli bit didn't pan-out as it would have been talked about everywhere (including this board) when it was filmed, etc.
