I'd like to see Bernadette & Mandy reunite for a live action version of LADY & THE TRAMP.
How about LOLITA, MY LOVE with Lila Crawford as Loli, Donna McKechnie as Charlotte and Neil Patrick Harris as Humbert?
...Actually that doesn't sound half bad.
"Matthew Broderick in The Boy From Oz."
That made me laugh ... until I remembered that these were the same idiot producers who thought he would be good in "The Music Man".
So wait, it's not BROOKLYN?
I've got it on very good authority that NBC has struck a deal with a major sponsor to present Trisha Yearwood in "The Light in the Pizza Hut."

It's Hello, Dolly with Harry Winkler and Penney Marshall.

I heard it was going to be BARNUM with Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Clarkson as PT and Charity. Not wanting to tamper with success, Jenny will be played by Carrie Underwood! (I hear that FOX is NOT happy.)
Now, I'm hoping I'm wrong because I really want it to be "The Light in the Pizza Hut."
Harris is an interesting choice for Humbert, but assuming he can mask his American-neutral/New York accent enough, the character rather suits him. Elegant, youthful-but-middle-aged, capable of incredible but superficial charm and the ability to maintain an inscrutable moral or amoral compass.

So then it won't be SHOGUN the musical starring Derek Hough? I'm dashed.

I do not think it will be another Rodgers and Hammerstein show.
All kidding aside, I heard they were doing BABY.
BABY would be awesome if they could get Liz Calloway and Todd Graff to come back and play the 45-year-old couple.

James Franco as Beauregard! (He needs the work.)

How does Franco need the work? He has many movies coming out and in pre/post production...plus he wills tarring on Broadway this Spring...his career is just fine!
