I'll tell ya'll straight up, I ain't got nothin' to do with the disappearance of Marc Shaiman. I'll tells ya the same thing that I told those cops. I asked Marc if he liked little puppies and if he wouldn't mind helping me look for mine because he gots lost. He said yes and we looked fer a little while and then it got dark and I sent Marc home with lots of candy and ice cream. It ain't my problem if he hasn't been seen posting ever since. I didn't touch a hair on his back. I swear. Updated On: 4/6/04 at 12:36 PM
One has to think that the novelty might have worn off? Or perhaps it's the dozens of projects that he's got to be invovlved in... It was nice while it lasted.
Ah, memories. I'll always smile when I think about those blown kisses on the academy awards. Stuff of legend.
i think it might be a bit premature to declare him gone, folks. it's only been two weeks and four days since he last posted...not that i keep track or anything, cuz i don't, i just happened to guess right. heck i go for periods where i don't post and i have no life. imagine what it must be like to have a real life in which you actually have to work, like marc does, and travel, like marc does, and make that cute little sound when you...uh, i mean, uh, um, nevermind. i just think that sometimes people take a break.
all that said, though, rickie, methinks the hirsute one protests too much!

I am sure he is just taking a break...no need to worry.
you can also ask him the question on his broadway.com Q & A..
Maybe he went on an hunt to find broadwayguy2??!!! Somewhere in an exotic jungle broadwayguy2 is running around in a loin cloth and Mr. Shaiman in chasing him around with a big spear (or perhaps a Hoover vacuum cleaner)!! HAHA
Maybe he realized you (we) are all pathetic?
Now why on earth would he think that?
Right Said Rick lives very very far from civilization...I have been slowly working my way back, barefoot and bloodied
seriously, my work schedule is no different then the rest of you...yes, perhaps a tad more glamorous and fabulous, but I have simply been distracted by CATCH ME writing
it is nice to be missed though, thanks

I don't know, Mr. Shaiman....not getting paid to wait tables and explain to beligerent and drunk parties of 8 that it's restaurant policy to charge a gratuity on parties of 6 and up is, in my opinion, precisely what Sondheim was writing about in A Little Night Music.
La la la.

Can't wait for CATCH ME Marc !!! I'll "catch" the first plane to come all the way there and grab a ticket for one of the first previews ! Keep up the great work !
Take care
SOOOO.....Ya gonna come to Toronto for the opening???
Is Catch Me opening in Toronto first ??? Gee, I'd love to come to my birthtown !!! I was born in Toronto, but moved back with my parents to Greece and haven't been there since, though i have relatives still living there! So a combination of Catch me & a trip back to my roots sure sounds great!!!
Take care
