Sure, she is gonna get a tony for this show without a doubt.(they'll have to change that line in Diva's Lament about it). But, seriously did her voice crawl out under a rock and finally shine in spamalot?

Posted: 5/5/05 at 1:29amI think it was a matter of finding the right property. She is wildly funny, but most of her previous credits were not for very funny things. The first place I really noticed her was on the Stephen Schwartz Album, singing Colors of the Wind. I hated it, still do. I skip it every time. But her numbers in Spamalot are terrific, and I've listened to them on the cast album a dozen times each in the last 24 hours.

I started a thread similiar to this back in January before SPAMALOT opened on Broadway.
I happened to get a 50% off ticket from TKTS and saw this little show called A CLASS ACT. She stole every minute she was on that stage. I am so excited that is getting all of the attention she deserves. Looking forward to seeing her this weekend.

Sara is a Julliard graduate.
You can also see her in a funny bit in "You've Got Mail" as the Zabar's cashier.

Posted: 5/5/05 at 9:05amMexico and my favorite flop, Fascinating Rhythm for which she did receive an outer critics nomination. So she hasn't exactly come from out of nowhere, she's been around for some time and just caught a good, well deserved, break.
