I'm getting ready now to head down to Central Park for Hair tickets and while I know the closest entrances of the park that are near the theater, I don't know exactly wherein the park the theater/box office is...are there signs directing you to the actual box office line?

Thanks.

Good morning.

I believe there are two entrances, one from 5th Ave and one from Central Park West. Take the B or C train and get off at 81st St. There is a Shakespeare in the Park sign by the entrance. Jaystarr put this picture in one of his posts.

Better yet, how many seats does it have?

Have fun standing outside!

It would seem this question has become somewhat of a running joke but if anyone would like the official answer the staff at the Delacorte is told, it's 1882. However, as you all probably know, not all of those tickets are given to the line. There is the virtual line (being that the line at the Public isn't happening this summer), individual and corporate sponsorships and cast and crew reservations.
