In the past when visiting New York, I used to buy in Footlights,Tower records and Virgin. Where can I find a big dvd store now? Please, help me.

The only places left are Best Buy, B&N, Borders--- the usual... Anywhere else is very over priced. Unfortunately indepedent entertainment stores can no longer survive.

So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?

J&R Misic World has a large DVD selection and their prices are competative.

Kim's Video is still open and has probably the best selection of foreign, silent, classic and etc. dvds in town. An essential stop for the serious dvd buyer.

It's kind of a disorganized dump, but on my last trip down I discovered DVD Funhouse on W21st and 6th.

They had the Kubrick box set for $40 and a lot of others for under $30. They also do what Big Lots does and tears apart some of the box sets and sell them as individual DVDs for $5.99.
