Thanks everyone for their helpful advice. I bit the bullet and bought the $133.50 ORCHESTRA Row A, Seat 240 ticket for Lea’s final performance!
A little too late responding but you made a great decision with those seats and buying it now. I also sat at the even 200 side and saw Lea quite a bit facing us. Saw the show the night before the Tony nominations were announced. Since then, demand has gone up. Enjoy.
What happens during pre-show on the even 200's side? I have seats 202 & 204 in row AA and I'm really looking forward to seeing the show!

Thanks! I’m relieved now that I went ahead and bought my ticket!

My recommendation would have been to spend the extra $40 and sit in AA 220. I know that you're trying to save money, but I don't think you'd regret spending a little more for that seat in the sand, especially if you're looking to be close to the actors.
Actually, those seats were considered premium I believe so weren’t eligible for the discount and were therefore $70 more. Plus, as much as I loved having front row at Fun Home, I’m not a fan of having sand in my shoes. Lol. I’m one of the few people who doesn’t enjoy the beach. Lol. I’m happy with my purchased seat.
Double post.

There are a couple of places where the cast members more or less stay put in the preshow (like Asaka/Alex Newell cooking around AA 226, or Erzulie/Lea Salonga hanging out near the tree around AA 211/229) but for the most part they all wander around - even Asaka and Erzulie wander around for a while. The premise (spoiler alert but not really) is that they've just experienced a storm and are wandering around picking up debris, trying to pick up a fallen tree, cooking, etc. So you'll see everyone very clearly as they walk around - it's a small theatre. Those are great seats - enjoy the show!
(And Miles - congrats! Glad you got your ticket!)

Playbill just posted an article about this:
Once On This Island Seating Guide: Where to Sit for the In-the-Round Experience on Broadway
Choose your seat based on the experience you want to have at the Tony-nominated Best Musical Revival.

Thanks for this. I’m so excited for my visit to the island!
Just for future reference, I sat in the middle of row H of the 102-146 section and thought it was a pretty good seat, except for the fact that *SPOILER* I couldn't see the area near the water feature where younger Ti Moune turns to older Ti Moune. I think it's probably best to sit in the even/odd 200s because you can really see a lot! My seat truly was not bad by any means-- I just think there may be some more optimal views.

Hope you enjoy the show! We sat in Row C of the even 200's (right in front of where Alex cooks) and had a great view of the show. The actors make their way around the theater so you have plenty of opportunity to stare at their faces, We sure did when Lea was talking to an elderly couple in front of us at the beginning of the show. LOL. OOTI was probably my favorite overall experience among the shows we watched while we were there.

I have seats AA 232 and AA234 for Sunday, June 3. Last show of our trip!
How are these seats?
Follow-up to my earlier post. Sat in AA209 in the sand a couple weeks ago and it was amazing, right in front of the tree, most of the cast walked right in front of us. Since I'm a Miss Saigon junkie, I was melting every time Lea was right next to me. My wife loved it so much we went back and saw it again the following day. Seeing it again from another angle was a completely different experience. I really hope we can get back out to see it again.

Thanks to everyone here, I was able to book A240 and A238 using Audience Rewards Cash and Points for $78 each. Appreciate all the seating advice!
Sat in A240 based on the reco here and it was a spectacular seat throughout and especially for those final moments.
QUESTION / VERY MILD SPOILER
I overheard Kenita during the pre-show with the chicken and was curious what she says to the audience member? I got that the chicken’s name is Dina, that everyone calls her dinner but she won’t let them cook her chicken then she said there were three others and all were named after???? From the show I surmised they’re all named after the gods but was curious if that’s right.

If you happened to see the show by now, how were your seats?
My seat for next month is AA 208. Seats on the even 200’s side appear to be getting positive reviews and the Playbill photos are very helpful, moreso than the current scarcity on aviewfrommyseat.
Any additional feedback concerning the pre-show, the set design, or scenes viewed from that seat?

They're named after the Dreamgirls! That was Deena, who alternates with Effie, Lorrell, and Michelle.

Wanted to report back that I sat in AA230 after worrying a ton about what seat to sit in and WOW what an amazing view. Got to interact with the actors a ton, perfect central view to everything--right smack in front of the bulk of the action. And a glorious view of the finale scene, probably the only section with a perfect view of it. Would highly HIGHLY recommend these seats, best in the house IMO based on what I saw vs. how I imagine other views would be (especially the other side--odd seats--because the characters move in those aisles a but and they'd be harder to see if you're up close. The actors seemed to face the even sides more often as pointed out by other posters).

Hi everyone!
I'm considering seat A240 (which according to this thread is a great seat especially for the finale) and C237 which is directly across. Anyone here saw the show and can help make recommendations?
Thank you very much in advance for your time and kind help.
