KENREX - (Lucille Lortel Theatre, Off-Broadway) Apr 18 2026, 10:44:23 PM
Always a chance it could do a remount and change theaters (like Mexodus) if it happens to really take off.
I'm excited to see this in a couple of weeks! Bought tickets for my friend and I on a whim after seeing a trailer in an Instagram ad, which is something I've never done, so I'm glad to see that the buzz is corroborating how unique and creative it looks.

BROADWAY DISCOUNTS Apr 7 2026, 08:22:34 PM
Anything current for Mexodus? (Also, is there any audience interaction in this show where I should not sit front row or on the aisle if I want to avoid that?) TY!

CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL Previews Apr 7 2026, 12:48:47 PM
I was at the Saturday matinee, sitting center orchestra (right in front of Andrew Lloyd Webber, fwiw) - and while it didn't have the same exact energy as PAC, I definitely didn't feel like it was a dud at all. It was of course an older crowd, as any Saturday matinee would be, and we even heard ALW say as much to the guys he was with, but I felt like everyone was enjoying themselves! It wasn't a lot of shouting out and fan-waving, more like the kind of enthusiastic cheering and cla

CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL Previews Mar 20 2026, 10:41:15 PM
FWIW, I'm a straight cis woman who knew absolutely nothing about ball culture. To be honest, had never even heard of it, despite unknowingly having seen some elements through the occasional drag show and Madonna's Vogue.
But I was interested in the PAC production because of word of mouth (and I do have a nostalgic soft spot for the Cats score), so decided to watch Paris Is Burning before seeing it, and I am so glad I did. I'

This is my dilemma. I LOVE Carrie Coon, I think she’s such an insanely talented actress, I’m a big Leftovers fan, and I can’t fathom her being in anything on Broadway and me not immediately getting a ticket.

Guessing game. Hints for 26/27 tour Dec 29 2025, 07:13:59 PM
I mean odds are that it will eventually tour next season, but no, it’s not that. Was just trying to be conversational since I wasn’t sure. I meant bottom left, and now I’m sure it’s Hamilton. It’s obviously not Starlight Express either on the bottom right lol.
It looks like there are 10 shows here; roughly 5 columns with two shows (top and bottom) per column. What is that bottom-middle-right show if not & Juliet? Even that painting is o

Guessing game. Hints for 26/27 tour Dec 28 2025, 07:41:34 PM
I love a season guessing game - I wish every theatre did it!
Gordon Ramsey is for sure Hell’s Kitchen, as is the map of NYC below it with Hell’s Kitchen highlighted
The potion top right with the ‘forever young’ self help book below it I assume is Death Becomes Her
Possibly & Juliet? (torn photo & singer at the bottom, the black & red hearts above, the painting above that)
I think the bottom right group might be Elf, with the Chri

BOOP! Original Broadway Cast Recording Thread Jun 6 2025, 01:47:50 PM
RippedMan said: "There was a duet between the daughter and Betty. Is it in the NYC version?"
Yes! That’s “My Hero.” I didn’t see it in Chicago so don’t know if the song changed, but that’s a duet between Betty and Trisha.
And will echo the other comments about how fabulous this recording sounds. Absolute travesty that it wasn’t nominated for Best Score - there are SO many gems.

Why would score take precedent over showing off a best choreography nomination (which Boop has

Tony Performances 2025 Jun 2 2025, 03:11:27 PM
I feel like DBH would be crazy not to do For the Gaze at the Tonys - ideally with a healthy in-character intro from Jennifer so she gets a deserved moment.
Hoping/assuming Pirates does Modern Major General. The great DHP aside, it's so delightful especially with that semaphore choreo!
I saw Buena Vista so long ago and loved it - really looking forward to revisiting whatever they choose. Whatever the choice, I do hope they showcase the insan

Good Night and Good Luck Reviews May 30 2025, 07:49:48 PM
I saw this on Wednesday and really enjoyed it - but I can't stop thinking about how damn good that jazz singer Georgia Heers was. I know there's no chance, but sure wish they'd record an EP. I would listen to that "How High the Moon" on repeat.

I fully agree with how great that sound design was, and would be happily on board with a Sunset win, but need to call out BVSC for this category too. I left that show specifically thinking about how great the sound design was, which is

The 78th Annual Tony Award Nominations for 2025 May 1 2025, 08:12:14 PM
Finally catching up on all of this after an annoyingly slammed work day (really, of all the days)… my biggest WTF is all of the Pirates snubbing! I had the best time at that show. So many ultra competitive categories, so it is what it is, but I am shocked that it didn’t get an orchestrations nom. Shocked.
FWIW, I don’t find the Real Women Have Curves title offensive, but it’s definitely off-putting to a lot of demos. I find it nuts that they didn&rsquo

Drama Desk nominations '25 Apr 30 2025, 01:38:48 PM
This makes me so happy for Boop! I will continue to sing the praises of that inventive, sparkly, happy show that we need right now in the world. Giving me some more hope for it getting some Tony noms tomorrow. It needs a killer Tony performance so badly.
Thrilled for all of the Jellicle Ball noms too - I would've thought Paul Tazewell had any and all costume awards totally sewn up (haha) this year, but that will rightfully give DBH a run for its money.

Tony Awards Predictions (All Categories) Apr 30 2025, 09:11:50 AM
2 I’m hoping for:
Boop somehow getting into Best Musical, and David Hyde Pierce in Leading Actor
What I’m really hoping for is a whole lot of ties and extra nominees!
