The return of Forbidden Broadway: SVU! I have to see it ASAP!

"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli

It hasn't changed much, FYI.

I saw it on Wednesday and was kind of disappointed at the lack of new material. There's a Julia Roberts bit, but that's it.

The guy at the conession stand said that they were waiting until after the Tonys to see what would win before the new material would be written.

ETA: I love the show, and I saw it in March the week that it closed. I was just (wrongly) assuming that there would be some new stuff written over the 2.5 month break from NY. Updated On: 6/16/06 at 02:09 PM

I would recommend Stuff Happens, which I saw last Sunday night,to everyone. It is very important play, beautifully performed.
Also, Waiting For Godot at the classical theater of Harlem, and Red Light Winter.
I am hoping to see the J Robert Oppenheimer play and maybe series C of the EST one acts, before they close.
Right now, Off Broadway is a very exciting place.
