So, Ragtime is rapidly approaching, and we're all super excited about it.
But, we're starting to look towards next year's production, and I wanted to just ask for a few suggestions. What shows would you love to see for just one night?
We'd be looking for a show with a lot of big chorus numbers; Ragtime is appropriate in that way.
Dream out loud everyone, you never know which show we'll pick. I'm hoping for The Secret Garden, but that's just in my own head for now. What do you think? Which show should we put on?
Haha, I knew I'd get that question. We haven't finalized Sarah yet, but there's an offer out for someone. I think tomorrow we're announcing Sarah's Friend, JP Morgan, Brother, Father, Tateh, and Younger Brother.
Honestly, how can anyone possibly make any intelligent suggestions to you without knowing a single thing about your organization? Should everyone on here just automatically know your theatre group?
Have the New York opera companies done STREET SCENE of late?
If not, it's a stupendous score that is usually accessible to musical theater and opera fans alike. But, yes, you need really strong singers to perform it. Not all the roles are operatic (Catherine Zeta-Jones sings on both of the recordings I have) but some are.
I dunno. What's another great show that would make for your second series of annoyingly dragged-out message board posts?
