Of all your fav tv stars...which one would you choose to be on bway (who has never done bway before)
I'd like to see Deborah Messing as Sally in Cabaret or Patricia Heating (is that her name?) as Miss Flannery in Millie

Van der Beek, I saw him on an SNL Sketch and he has a nice voice. Alas he did start out at 17ish on broadway, it would be a terific return.

Wayne Brady from Whose Line. :) And also maybe that Chip guy who sings with him sometimes. I try to imagine all the guys from that show doing serious stuff...I just can't.

Id like to see Katie Holmes....God she was terrible when she sang "On My Own" on Dawsons Creek but was Lola in her HS production of Damn Yankees and sounded good when she sang it on SNL
Hmmm...maybe one of the girls from Saturday Night Live, because they have pretty decent voices. And I know Ana was once in Rocky Horror on B-way.

Corrections to afore statement...James Van Der Beek, was not ON broadway, he was in a couple plays Off Broadway...To me it's still NYC.

Eric McCormack could read the phone book and I'd be there. I'd love to see him in a musical version of ARSENIC AND OLD LACE--with Angela Lansbury and TGC as the dotty aunts. (Jerry Herman, are you reading this?)

I would like to see Moose, who plays Eddie on Frasier, star in a show on Broadway. Perhaps in The Wiz.
MEGAN MULLALLY!!!!!!! all the way
And Sean Hayes.

I love A&OL!! ANd I love to see Megan or Sean on Bway!
Believe it or not, before the 'ER' movie was planned (which is now confirmed and is now casting), they wanted to make "ER - The Musical" but they thought it would work better on screen or something to that affect.
I am in love with Raven Symone, star of "That's So Raven" on the Disney channel. She has a great voice, and I think she would be a hoot on the Great White Way.
Christy Carlson Romano, star of "Even Stevens" on the Disney channel, has an incredibly Broadway sounding voice, and resembles Sutton. She has a lot to offer on Broadway. I'd love to see her as Millie.
I would love to see Megan Mulally on Broadway.
Ana Gastyer played Fanny Brice in "Funny Girl" either this summer or last summer. I didn't get to see it, but I would love to see her in that role on Broadway.
I think Lauren Graham from "Gilmore Girls" would be great in a comedic play. I don't know if she can sing...I never heard her try. Also Amanda Bynes. That girl is probably the greatest comedic actress of her generation. She will have a long, long career.
actually, correct me if im wrong but, wasn't christy carlson romano Mary Phagan in "Parade" on bway? I too think shes great and would make an excellent millie (but does she dance)? I think it would be hilarious to just see Sean and Megan as Fred and Lillian in Kiss Me Kate
"TGC"
Who is that??
I second the vote for Raven and Christy Romano!!!!!

Oh! Most definately Megan Mullaly! I LOVE her!
Christy Carlson Romano actually does have a decent voice. Did anyone see the Even Stevens episode that was completely sung? It was quite a hoot.
" we went to the moon in 1969.." hehe i used to watch Even Stevens all the time lolol

Suprisingly there are a lot of stars in tv shows that got starts on theatre's stage. And I bet many of them have nice voices too.
Plus you have some like Christopher Seiber.

I would have to agree with Megan, but a little disagreement also. I would love to see the Regular Broadway and West End Performers get the respect from T.V and Movies that Broadway and the West End give them. Sorry but it had to be said.
