To answer Princess MimiChicas question, TGC is Carol Channing....I believe it stands for The Great Channing?
I don't know where Dollypop is, but he can field this question better than anyone else here. lol
I would LOVE to see Megan...and Sean for that matter. Also, I think Michael C. Hall from Six Feet Under did mostly theater before he got the show. He sings on the show in the gay men's chorus and has a nice voice, so I'd like to see him in something.

Both Megan Mullaly and Michael C Hall have been on BWay. He was not bad in Chicago and she was wonderful in How To Succeed....
There are a few Broadway people doing tv right now whom i would love to see back on Broadway, a couple of names that come to mind are Christine Baranski and SJP.
Clea Duvall from that creepy new HBO show Carnival is a very good actress. Don't know if she has been on Broadway but I would guess she has since she seems to have the acting ability that one gets from formal training and hones on the stage
I love clea duvall but she always plays the same dark characters lol! I would like to see her in a comedy!

Molly Shannon. I have seen her in a few stage performances before she did SNL and she is brilliant!

I'd like David Morse to appear on Broadway again.
i wish there was a way to make molly shannon's characters work on the stage but, costume changes would take too long...same with tracy ullman.
Wayne Brady is soooo talented. He is a walking Broadway musical.
Imagine Wayne Brady as Seaweed in Hairspray.....YUM thats all i will say...he better run and tell that before i dirty boogie him hehe
Van der Beek was in last seasons RAIN DANCE. He (as an Italian American soldier from the Bronx) and the play were godawful. And yes, he remained fully clothed.
I'd really like to see Victor Garber make a return to Broadway, either in a play or musical.
I would of like to have seen Garber as Javert in LM
i would like to see drew carey on broadway. maybe edna?
I also would like to see Sarah Jessica Parker and Christine Baranski do somethin again. Maybe after SATC ends. Wayne Brady would be phenomenal on broadway...he's so talented. Ana Gasteyer would be fun, too..Maya Rudolph from snl can sing also.
i agree with most of the SNL people and of course those from JACK & KAREN. If i'm not mistaken, Clea Duvall sang as a hooker/single mom in an episode of COP ROCK. i know i've seen her sing in a TV show and i think it was that one. She sounded very good, an emotive belter as you could imagine, but then again she could have been dubbed. i too think she's an amazing actress. i'd also like to hear Lisa Kudrow sing when she's not trying to be bad. Mrs. Brad Pitt also sang and danced on TV when she was Julie Kavner to Julie Brown's (not Downtown, but of EARTH GIRLS fame)Tracey Ullman for that half-season variety show she had. Both Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde Pierce sing very well.
Oh! too many. But I'd love to see Susan Sarandon, Anthony Hopkins, Nicholas Cage not together of course, but each in his/her perfectly plotted play.
I'd like to see Lisa Kudrow play some outrageous part...she has such impecable comedic timing. And on the topic of Friends, I think Courteney Cox-Arquette also sings a bit as a hobby.
STINKER, speaking of Anastasia Beaverhausen, one of my favorite JACK & KARENs was on last night (syndicated): where Will and Karen are reading the same book and Jack feels left out (the B plot is Grace helping Will's cousin plan his wedding and gradually thinking it's hers). The writing is so good, and Karen asks a question at the author reading as Anastasia. It has one Jack line which makes me think of this forum: "well, look who has a big vocabulary and a really little dick-tionary." It also has some of Jack and Karen's best physical comedy. Good times...
That's definitely one of my favorite episodes! They also showed a part in one of the blooper shows last season where Jack says something to the effect of "you couldn't find any real friends so you had to take Karen?"...and Karen makes a little "hmmph" kind of noise...but in the bloopers she was like squawking it was hilarious. There was also a great one on Monday night I think where Jack finds Rosario cheating on him with Gardener and they get divorced...Jack makes demands on Karen for $500,000 and he screams, "NOW I WANT MY MONEY DAMNIT!" and then Karen goes, "You ain't getting 88 cents from me, Rose!". I was dying! haha sorry that was so obnoxiously long-winded :P
i never saw the Rosario divorce one, can't wait. There was another musical reference last night i think but i forgot to write it down. For a while there was a thread here about musical theatre references on JACK & KAREN, and that could probably be its own website. Care to moderate it, STINKER?
LoL I'd love to see that happen, but I don't know the first thing about websites...there was another episode where Rosario called Karen "Gypsy Rose Lush" LOL.
Countess Vaughn from The Parkers. She did a nice version of "Home" on 227

If you are refering to my earlier post ( which you might not be) I was'nt necessarily thinking she should do her characters. Molly is a terrific actor and could do more in depth things than her SNL characters.

It would be wonderful if Gary Coleman would play Gary Coleman in Avenue Q; if Liza Minnelli could play Liza Minnelli in The Boy from Oz; if David Gest could play Judy Garland in The Boy from Oz and if Ron Jeremy could sing "Mr. Cellophane" in Chicago. Updated On: 10/23/03 at 01:16 PM
I think Molly Shannon could pull off a one-woman show of sorts as well. She's so outrageous and energetic, it could work.
