The Virginia Theater Front Row are TERRIBLE! I saw Little Shop from the front row, and couldn't see a goddamn thing. Thankfully, the show was at about 40% capacity, so we just moved to the balcony.
The Richard Rodgers orchestra, hands down. It's because of the swooping mezz. Most shows have something going on above the stage, like Movin' Out has the band up on an elevated platform, and not being able to see that because of the stupid ceiling ruins the whole experience.
I havent been there in a while, but doesnt the Majestic have a large swooping Mezz, which makes it hard to see the chandeliere (sp?) when it's falling? I remember being disappointed when i say near the back of the orchestra seats.
The second time I saw Wicked, I think my seats were technically partial view...but they were full price. At any rate, I was on the thirdish row and it was really neat to be that close to the stage no matter what. BUT I had seen it before so I already knew what everything looked like. The only thing I missed was Glinda's entrance before they sing For Good. So...it really did not take away. My seat made the performance very enjoyable. It was my mother's first time and she still really enjoyed it!
I've never hated partial view. I had BB6 at the Gershwin, and I'm pretty much an "orchestra snob". I loved it. The only problem I had was with the class scenes.
Oh I forgot, the only annoying thing about partial view seats, is the people behind you who have partial view seats as well, who complain that they can't see.
I echo whoever said the Warner Theatre in DC. The first time I saw Rent there, I paid full price to sit behind speakers. I learned the next time to accept only center or side aisle seats.

Actually as far as the St. James goes...my friend and I did Producers Rush one time, and I can't remember if there were six seats or eight seats in our row...anywayz, we were in the second row on the right side, and we were next to I think two seats to the right of us. When we got the tickets, they said they were the last two student tickets available. The seats all the way over were empty the whole show. Maybe they hardly sell those?

Just last week, I saw Spamalot (H15), and DRS (C10), both with 2 more seats to the side, DRS was fine at The Imperial, but my seats in The Shubert were indeed obstructed, and at full price. I've come to the conclusion that the Shubert has the worst sight lines on Broadway. The orchestra does not have enough slope (last row for "Chicago"), the sides are obscured, and in the nosebleed balcony I made the mistake of wearing bifocul glasses and had to keep lowering my head for "Gypsy". I also saw "Little Women" at The Virginia, row C, center, and the front row was kept empty. I don't mind obstructed views that much if I can be close, but it would be nice to know ahead and maybe get a break in price. I got to see "The Who's Tommy" at The St. James and "The King And I" at The Neil Simon (or maybe The Eugene O'Neill, I allways get those two mixed up, sorry) that way, and they weren't bad.
Saw Wicked partial view last year (my friend wanted to see it) and they weren't too bad...yeah we missed the balcony scenes a bit of action in the back, but my friend just wanted to see Idina and we did that so it was worth the partial view seats.

I forgot to mention that if you are a first-timer at "Wicked", don't get partial view. In March of the Witch Hunters - if you're sitting on the left, you miss Glinda and Morrible. The right, you miss Boq and the Lion.
