Posted: 9/5/04 at 6:29pmI rather like the story of how the creators found each other. That story itself is worth turning into a musical.

Posted: 9/5/04 at 6:34pmExsqueeze me.......Bakingpowder? I am looking forward to BRKLYN, but the music I have heard (while amazing) will never reach the GREATNESS of RENT's music I tell you. NEVER!!!! BOOHAHA

Posted: 9/5/04 at 6:43pmI agree with spiderdj82. I'm looking foward to it but I don't Brooklyn will ever compare to Rent. I don't even understand why people are comparing them. The only thing they have in common is they both have poppish scores but they sound different and the stories are totally different.

Posted: 9/5/04 at 6:47pmI have seen the show in Denver. It is not RENT but it has that feel. I think mostly because of the set and where the show takes place. The music is more pop than rock.

Posted: 9/5/04 at 7:09pmI dunno. The music for Rent sounded fresh and exciting when I first heard it. I can't say the same for Brooklyn's music so far.

No, Rosie isn't producing it.
There's an interesting story as to how the composers got together to write Brooklyn. I won't go into it here, but I'm sure you'll read it eventually.

I was curious about Brooklyn before, but in that one post, my desire to see it has completely evaporated.
